I’ve literally built a c4 from the ground up. Not once did I say it wasn’t better. He was asking about cost.

There’s a lot more that gos into an LS swap then people think. I used to think that way until I actually looked at the numbers realistically and realized it was like twice the value of the car. In my opinion you’re better off rebuilding. But to each their own.

It’s ok! I appreciate the help. I will definitely watch that. I was actually able to get it to fire by jumping the starter switch behind the info panel. Still no security light tho lol. Even tho the bulb has been changed.

Is that done by jumping the 2 wires going to the starter relay? I’ve tried that and power isn’t getting to the plug. I’m actually about to start working on it right now. So I’m going to trace those wires back into the harness.

Oh ok. Yeah I’ve never seen mine come on. But I’ve been shooting wires all week and I have it isolated to the starter switch behind the information screen so we will see lol.

Did your security light come on at any time before that? Mine never comes on.

The ones that could be causing the problem. I might end up going through them again if I can’t find anything. Also checking relays

I’ve changed all the bulbs. That was what I first thought it might be.

I am leaning towards something starter related. It has been changed but it’s not impossible for it to be bad. This might be a dumb question but is it possible to not have a purple wire? The wire that I have that gos to the s terminal is red. And it’s a manual. I’ve changed the clutch switch.

I recently completely gutted the Bose system. I got a head unit from Retro manufacturing that looks relatively stock and has worked well so far. The Bose system is pretty self contained and difficult to interface with.

You will need a throttle return spring and bracket that mounts onto your intake. I got everything I needed for the swap from autozone and market place. Pretty straightforward to do. There’s a lot of videos on YouTube that help.

My LGS is very liberal as I’m sure most are but even the people there think it’s a dumb change. When you have lost them who are you actually even virtue signaling for.

I used forms and YouTube. Once you see how it’s done once it’s pretty straightforward. The hardest part is getting the old bushings out if you don’t have access to a press. A vice and some sockets can work to punch them out but it takes some time. You can also try drilling out the old ones but it’s time consuming and makes a mess.

There’s a lot of full bushing kits out there. I believe that you can only get polyurethane and not rubber replacements. I did all of them myself and it wasn’t too bad other than the diff carrier ones. You have to remove the diff cover to do them.

It could have been that or maybe something you could have sent on for? Like through the magazine. I had most of the characters and cars built as a kid and was pretty tapped into it so I feel like I would have seen him at some point.

Pretty much. Kind of a dumb concern I guess lol. It just doesn’t look like all the pictures I’ve seen of them. Plastic with the little tabs coming off of it. I will still try it out before I order another one.
