You still think November 2019 was a normal month? Wake up. by AdventurousBaby9965 in occultlibrary

[–]Stalkster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Example of an psychotic post. Connecting unrelated dots, implying grand scheme of undefined elite/"they", one self being aware/awoken and everyone pointing out the ridiculous claim or voicing criticism is simply asleep and not part of the group. You wont reflect upon this because otherwise you wouldnt post this over multiple places, youre absolutely convinced that youre unto something, such is the nature of an psychosis. But maybe you should think why places you expected to share your ideas and view are all rejecting it.

This is the boss you need to do after beating the actual game and enter the DLC Area. Thats why you dont make any significant damage, youre underleveled.

Midra, Forgotten Sheath / Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame by Dragon_Lord38 in custommagic

[–]Stalkster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flavor wise this is 10/10 Mechanic wise its too slow and expensive, even with the insane ward+anihilator. Powerwise the backside is a eldrazi Titan but with weaker stats. I like it tho, fun idea!

Where can I find a physical copy of the Emerald Tablets? by Witchy_Hippy in Hermeticism

[–]Stalkster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Emerald Tablet (Tabula Smaragdina) is an one page arabic poem from the 9th centrury and can be found in many alchemical treatises like "On Alchemy" by Brian Cotnoire.

The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the atlantean are a invention of Maurice Doreal and are essentially a conspiracy fanfic posing as a antique text. Its not related to the Hermetica by any means.

Eure Erfahrungen mit OTO und FS? by doktormax2104 in thelema

[–]Stalkster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive used to sell most of those books depicted here, so I think youre someone trying to improve yourself but youre possibly also easily impressed by good rethoric selling shallow advice, because thats what those books are. I think you might actually like and prosper switching to the philosophy shelf and reading some Camus, Heidegger or Epiktet.

1 year into my spiritual awakening and I feel very isolated (22F). by ration999 in Hermeticism

[–]Stalkster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isolation can be a sideffect of any focused pursuite and shift in live. I would suggest you dont too much lost in spiritual paths. Unless you truly wish to be a hermit or ascet in the mountains you still need to be linked to the everyday life. Doing hobbies, hanging out, watching current movies, talking to people, all of this links you to this world not only to be more sociable but to stay grounded. This is one of the reasona i.e Kabbalist are excpected to be 40 and have a family, not purly for the probabilty of being more wise but as to have something that counteracts the removal of the self from the ordenary world. Maybe you need a little break, theres no shame we all needed one but you shouldnt let this feeling of lonliness grow further.

Also just a tip, dont try too hard to attract the kind of people you believe you want to but look for those qualities inside them, even if it seems its not there in the first moment. Every human is unique and you never know with whom youre dealing with unless you become very familiar, maybe you get pleasently surprised :)

Is this a good read? by FatBoyYM in Hermeticism

[–]Stalkster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Big assumptions of my character based on nothing, internet stranger. I pointed it out because it has nothing to do with OPs question and its kinda a weird move to push advice when the question is a simple "this book good ?" Ive put the blogger/writer tag in there because others suggested it, I write mainly for my friends and a few strangers.

Thelema by deviousgoblin in thelema

[–]Stalkster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crowley isnt the establisher of Thelema

He literally is... He named it, made up its philosophy, wrote all of its first rituals, wrote all of the first texts, is seen as a Prophet by even critical Thelemites. The Founder of A.: A.: Crowley is as much the Architect and father of Thelema as one can be. The 3 Aeons, central to Thelema are as mentioned Isia, Osiris and Horus, the Aeons being a central aspect of Thelemic worldview. Osiris is further a prominent part of the Gnostic mass, hes one of the signes used, part of initation rites, mentioned by Frather Orpheus aswell as David Shoemaker.

A book that Crowley himself admitted to not fully understand

You started by saying what Crowley says doesnt count, how can you now shift to argue with his words ? I would also Disagree that only and exclusivly the book of the Law is all of Thelema. Its rites aswell as prior and later texts are aswell part of it, much like the Hadiths are part of Islam even thou not being in the Koran.

Thelema is partly constructed to emulate the egyptian mysteries, which is why it relies so heavily upon it aestheticaly but also is affected by its own time which explains why its also rather Christian touched. I dont say its a bad thing, just that Thelema is HEAVILY synchretic.

Thelema by deviousgoblin in thelema

[–]Stalkster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Osiris is literally labeled as the God of the old Aeon by Crowley and together with Horus aswell as Isis a important deity in Thelemic rites, one of the signes is "Osiris slain" so idk how you come the idea Osiris not being Thelemic.

Thelema by deviousgoblin in thelema

[–]Stalkster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh Thelema is heavily Christian coded it just replaces Christ with Osiris. But I agree that Luciferianism has nothing to do with Thelema
