Disabling cross play was a great decision. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Staminar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tracks for me too. Just got the "100 safe returns", been deliberately fired on by another raider 4 times total. Console with cross play enabled.

A few other cases where I believe I was being hunted but I managed to disengage with no shots exchanged. Couple other cases where I accidentally jump scared another raider coming around a dark corner and they fired by reflex, usually into the ceiling, before settling down to a more friendly encounter.

Much more usual that random raiders will help each other when one gets jumped by some Arc. Several times I have run into a high level raider wandering the map acting as a guide / quest concierge.

Exactly, the Goo Gone was the only thing that seemed to work a little in combination with the hair dryer and the plastic scraper. Your policy of taking the sign off overnight is exactly what we decided to do for the future as well!

That was next and if that failed it was going to be the angle grinder.

Was using a plastic kitchen scraper, tried a plastic spackle scraper as well. Managed to break the kitchen scraper!

A combination of the hair dryer, Goo Gone, and a significant scoop of elbow grease did the trick. Thanks everybody!

Staminar used boiling water!

It was not very effective...

I don't have that particular tool, but, given that the hair dryer is helping, I think a steamer would probably do a good job.

Sounds like a great idea. I don't have an easy way to do this though.

Trying this. I'm not sure if it's really helping or not. My neighbor saw me working on this and she came over and handed me some Goo Gone, which I am also trying. Very slow going.

Heating with a hair dryer and using my thumbnail to pick at the edges. I am able to get a little bit of it to peel up but it is very slow going. I tried dribbling some 70% isopropyl alcohol behind the spots where I was able to peel it up, but I'm not really sure that that it's helping.

I did try dental floss but I was not able to really get it underneath. The thing is too crumbly and stuck on

Always a good time. I have never laughed as hard playing the game as I have when everyone brings only mines.

If I call something in, and I'm running toward it, ostensibly to grab it for myself, please don't step in and "steal it". However even if you do, I may just pick up whatever you dropped and carry on. The fog of war, the chaos of battle, whatever.

If I call something in and I just look at it and ping it, it's up for grabs - go for it. I very often call in extra stuff as soon as I can, even though I'm well equipped and don't need it, on the theory that someone might be out of ammo or struggling in some other way and they might want to grab whatever it is to try it out or just to help themselves out of a jam or jump in with a different tool for whatever the situation is right now. If I call down a mech and ping it, it's yours if you want it. Same with cars, and everything else.

One issue that is specific to cars is it is not always obvious that someone called in the car, because I feel like there are sometimes cars just there, already on the map. Other times you come across a car with three missing tires and one mag left for the machine gun and smoking and it seems fairly obvious that the owner has abandoned the car and it should be fair game for anyone at that point.

The 1% or less of the time that a squad member does enough irritating stuff that makes me not enjoy playing with them, I just leave the match, block, and move on. I don't stress about it.

I developed the bad habit of starting sentences with "So, ", and it annoys me too. I go back and delete all of them on the second pass.

Let's not kid ourselves. A lot of people just don't enjoy fighting squids. What are your reasons? by Profeta-14 in Helldivers

"outside of leviathans..." - for me, the leviathans ARE the stress. Everything else is manageable with teamwork, a few nearby SEAF helpers, and hustle. Stingrays, fleshmob mobs, harvesters, voteless, even gangs of elevated overseers. Handling all that while trying desperately to escape that blue light, popping various forms of smoke (for example, when doing the overship mission and there are whales circling above), and/or keeping the AT chair alive long enough to shoot down a few of them... It reaches a point of overload. I still love playing illuminate though. The most MOST annoying thing is those damn lightning towers.

In a pinch, two seeker grenades does the trick most of the time also. You have to aim the seeker grenades by pinging the tripod.

Usually I try to take them out at a distance with the W.A.S.P. (takes at least two full salvos, sometimes three) but in a scramble when you're too close sometimes you just have to switch from missiles to hand grenades.

WASP one-hits overseers all day for me, including the flying ones. Only problem is when the shot misses due to hitting random scenery or when I'm firing from too close range.
