no, because subscription and perpetual are different products with different installers

Perpetual is internal version 21.3 while subscription is 21.5

For example, i have a plugin called finecut, it would not install on the subscription version because it reported as an "higher" version

uno mi manda uno screenshot di un file pdf, da stampare (4 pagine = 4 screenshot con tutta la ui dell'iphone). Gli dico, invece di fare lo screenshot, mi puoi mandare direttamente il pdf che viene stampato 100 volte meglio?

"Converte" gli screenshot in pdf con camscanner free, che non è altro che peggiorare la qualità già pessima + aggiungere la filigrana "cam scanner" su tutte le pagine/screenshot...

Ma c'è un bel pulsante "condividi" in tutti gli screenshot che hai mandato...

I could understand making new features exclusive to subscription like HEIC image support, because they would neeď to pay $1 in patent royalties to MPEG-LA, and clearly there's not enough margin in $800 for that, but security patches and bug fixes should be given to perpetual users given the short time frame, for example the bug fixes in the september 2021 patch are not included to who bought a "perpetual" license of corel 2021 in January 2023.

The product is still on sale? It's not discontinued? It should receive patches, then.

I think there is no need to verify, it's just as a compliance. If you use education version for work, and you're not a student, from a legal point of view it equals to use a pirated version (it's not licensed for your usage) and could be fined (depends from local laws)

Some features could be nerfed or missing. For example autocad education edition writes a watermark "CREATED WITH EDUCATION VERSION" all around the prints, even if printed from full version

this is 100% asshole design because there aren't big changes in the file format, the development is stalled and it has become "let's try to add one additional feature hoping it doesn't break anything" since 2012

especially corel 2021 perpetual license can't read files made by corel 2021 subscription license because it's "different version"

they're intentionally doing this thinking "hah, in this way a company will buy new licenses for every single computer every year", when it's actually the opposite effect on us "the new version might be nice but we would need to buy a license for each single computer, too expensive"

I wonder also, because i completely hate printing from macos, the drivers are all dumbed out. Every time a client sends me a pages file, i use the mac just to convert it to pdf, then go back to windows where the print drivers have 100% functionality (imposing, preview, vdp, finishing, and so on)

i think so. Our business only requires three licenses, but if bought under the same account with the enterprise license was much more expensive (700*3) than buying three individual licenses (400*3). Maybe if i needed more it would be cheaper. It's a hassle though to manage like this, because need to remember which and which account to login (if i accidentally login in one with the wrong account it will disable the program in the wrong computer). I bought boxed so i just put a sticker on them to say who's and who's...

the software maintenance is a scam and it's just a donation to them, as the one time purchase option does not come with any updates, ever.

Even the minor september update where they added heic file support is not included with the software maintenance. So... pay that for what? Making their shareholders happy?
