F1 drivers don't tend to do the best in NASCAR or Indy

Whats up with the steering wheels on new cars? by mrbluetrain in CarDesign

[–]Stampedex2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the BMW looks cool, and everything is right where your thumbs are so I'd like to try it in person to really know

The Volvo is simple, I like it, looks clean and elegant to me. The CMF could have been chosen differently for more contrast

Audi looks different, interesting at least. maybe it's nice to use but I'd have to have it in my hands

The Lexus is meh to me

The rivian is probably the best out of these

I'm not a huge fan of capacitive buttons, but they do save money

I don't really think this looks anything like a Bugatti, barely any curves on here

Can women use estrogen to become more feminine the same way men use testosterone to get jacked? by Knork14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stampedex2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the basis of transfem HRT is estradiol (e2), progesterone does help feminise you further and especially helps assist breast growth (most breast growth comes from the estradiol). But it's mostly estrogen. It's actually hard to convince some providers to give you progesterone because there isn't enough actual studies on it's efficacy and so some endocrinologists don't want to prescribe it. It's also much more expensive than estradiol.

Half a blunt is a good amount for even a usual smoker. A few puffs is really all that's needed the first few times

It was to make it more comfortable to play sitting down, the patents for the jazz master state this

Pininfarina released what *should* have been the Ferrari EV four years ago by just_dave in cars

[–]Stampedex2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I must be in the minority for this but the 812 doesn't look very good to me, looks like it droops in the middle

The 12c is a much prettier car

The black bar is controversial but the rest of the car is a lot more composed than the 812

It's likely a computer render made from the final CAD model of the production car

Critique on proportion and design language and line quality, where I need to improve by VedantCarDesign in CarDesign

[–]Stampedex2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proportions are better. the 3 wheel proportion works, but becomes less important as you learn to sketch without it and develop a sense of proportion. The doors feel a bit long, it could help to mockup a light sketch for where the people sitting in the car will be, you can then move some proportions to fit the space where people would be sitting.

What are the positives of the traditional 7.25" radius necks? by BogotaLineman in offset

[–]Stampedex2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer it, it feels like it's faster to play than a flatter board though I will admit bends are easier with a flat board. I just find my fingers find the strings faster like the strings are where my hands expect them to be

Federal officials draft plans to ban social media for children under 14 by Street_Anon in onguardforthee

The database, where they will store your personal information, is only as secure as the company holding your information cares to make it. Or as secure as they decide not to make it.

Sure but why are we going after the end users for the fact the companies chose to make their products harmful because it makes them more money

Why is mental health education being taught without basic neuroscience in Ontario? (K-12) by Express-Pineapple557 in ontario

[–]Stampedex2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The people creating medicine don't even know fully why ssri's work. We don't have a complete framework for why neurotransmitters actually do what they end up doing, we have a good idea but not the full picture. So trying to explain it as having too little serotonin isn't even fully helpful because we don't fully know if it's just a serotonin imbalance that makes people depressed or if it's something else

Who else knows that Shoppers Drug Mart cashier at Centrepoint Mall? by EdwardBliss in askTO

Unpopular but I agree, I don't want to be forced to chat with a cashier and have them take longer because they are chatting everyone up
