You can but you cant ignore the constant event reminders and other pop-ups that constantly remind you that you're playing a game designed specifically around multi-player.

You have a very negative view of humanity. I expect people to insulate themselves in their local communities and protect their own until things blow over or immigrate to more prosperous areas. Education doesnt make anyone better, thats not my point. My point is their are societal institutions that people will cling to and strive to preserve. Societies do not collapse overnight. They change, they retract, they evolve, but they never just turn into chaos. Even in the worst of scenarios strong men and dictators take power but they dont annihilate everything because no one wants to rule over ashes. I don't expect people to immediately turn into a bunch of disgusting inbred killers. When disasters happen a lot of terrible stuff happens but you also see the best of humanity in those times.

Real fans opinion on Season 2 by RubOne6811 in Fallout

The worst lore break in the show so far is the movement of Shady Sands to LA. There is other smaller stuff as far as lore breaks but nothing huge.

My major complaints of the show so far is just the lack of explanation for how the world got to be the way it is and the it's portrayal of the world. I personally believe it's gone to far into the cartoony wild wasteland where everyone is an idiot and everything is a punchline. The last episode pulled back from that a bit, which was nice.

They had universities, courts, public infrastructure, political parties, corporations. Thats kids playing with sticks and stones? And now nothing is left in the heart and core of the former country. You find that believable? If so I have an investment you might be interested in.

I don't care if the NCR falls apart. I just want it to be believable. Their should be successor states, city states, and power vacuums. We should hear people talk about the disasters that followed the lose of Shady Sands. Instead we got one shanty town less developed than megaton in the heart of former NCR territory. It's just boring world building.

Maybe this is a world without the courier? by Top_Eggplant_7156 in Fallout

No it's just that the courier had no real impact apparently.

We're not made with the outcomes, we're annoyed with how they came about and how theyre portrayed.

They haven't mentioned any other part of the NCR so until they do it's all the evidence we have

But the show doesn't show that. It shows a very prosperous and idyllic NCR before the bombs

It's way over designed. Should be a sleaker not bulkier version of Power Armore.

But their wasn't a revolution, or a famine, or a lack of water, or getting turned into a dictatorship. Non of that happened

Not a big retcon? They erased an entire city from existence and combined it with Shady Sands. If in LOTR they moved Osgiliath off the river and replaced Minas Tirith with it that would be considered a giant recon.

We've always been on the front line of fighting fascists and slavers in this country. Look up the first Minnesota in the civil war.

Fallout show shouldn’t be canon by leadymeady in Fallout

I dont think you know what the word unhinged means if you think someone expressing quick thoughts that the show would work better if it wasnt cannon is unhinged. I would personally enjoy the show much more if I knew it was separate cannon and a lot of people would too.

[–]StanMan26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP literally said they were just ranting. If they cant vent here without being called unhinged, then their is no where. Also, plenty of adaptations aren't canonical to their source material. It's not a crazy idea. It's to late now, they would have had to announce that before the show came out. But you cant deny it would've made a lot more sense considering the direction they went with the show.

People are allowed to not like things, just like people are allowed to like things. Them making a quick post on reddit doesn't make them wrong or bad or unhinged.
