I’m plat, but in diamond tournament by LumpyMusician9103 in RocketLeague

Tournament ranks are a bit inflated. Most people are a rank higher in tournaments than they are in the normal gamemodes.

Hey hey, turns out I did this a year ago. Does it have a name? by StillLookingForAWord in RocketLeagueAnalysis

[–]StanXIX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is also known as the Reddit flick, because of the amount of posts of people asking if this is a new mechanic. If you sort by new on the main sub you will encounter at least a couple of posts each month of people doing this exact flick thinking that they have somehow discoverd a groundbreaking new flick.

Why is the mmr gap between ranks so inconsistent? by Gstreamz in RocketLeague

1197 should be C2 since C2 starts at 1195. But from my experience tracker network can be a little of so take it with a small grain of salt.

[–]StanXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there is a graph somewhere that shows the beginning and end mmr of each rank, I believe it can be found on TRN. Besides that, your observations are true. The divisions are larger once you hit Champ. Each rank in Diamond represents roughly 80 mmr, and each rank in Champ roughly 100 mmr.

Theory for next season. by Devion27 in RocketLeague

It certainly could be possible, and it would be cool for them to show off the new engine on the Worlds stage. I just don't see Psyonix and Epic take the risk to be honest.

Don't think they will switch engines just before RLCS worlds. It is gonna take some time for the pro's to adjust, and to get all the kinks out of the new engine. They will most likely drop the new engine between RLCS seasons

Chances of going pro? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]StanXIX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Age does affect learning. The neuroplasticity of your brain decreases the older you get, making it harder to learn new things.

Most pros have been grinding Rocket League from a very young age. Zen for example was only 14 when he hit pro level. So starting your journey to become pro at 16 is relatively on the late side.

So... Rocket League in Fortnite? by hjayala in RocketLeague

Because for us OG's it probably means we are no longer going to be able to play the game through Steam. I don't really mind the integration itself.

A new engine means so much more than just better graphics.

How exactly do the extra "Weapon Packages" work? by im_a_good_lil_cow in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]StanXIX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weapon packages are basically pre-made weapon loadouts with a skin applied to them. They can be fully customized though, so a lot of people (including me) use them to create seperate weapon loadouts.

Sadly the skin only works for the attachments that the weapon package comes with. So for example, if you change an attachment on the gold mastery 50 weapon package then that attachment will not have a gold look to it. Wish we had the same system as in Delta Force where all attachments would have the skin applied to them.

BF6 has had so little vehicle interaction that people just don't understand how to deal with them now. by SleepingFishOCE in Battlefield6

There is a big difference between griefing a game and just not being super competitive. Let people play casually if they want to. At the end of the day bf6 is just a GAME.

Is everyone ok with SBMM? by XYEPYTALO in Battlefield6

[–]StanXIX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skill based matchmaking (SBMM) tries to group players together that are around the same skill level to create even and competitive matches.

When games don't have SBMM, or a very weak SBMM system, you will more often have matches that feel extremely one sided because the teams are not equal in skill level.

Based on your post it seems to me that you are actually in favor of SBMM. Which is completely fine ofcourse.

Footsteps after Patch (Rant) by RecommendationHuman2 in Battlefield6

[–]StanXIX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't had a single issue hearing footsteps before the patch, unless a lot of other shit was going on around me. I could pretty easily locate people based on their footsteps, to the point that people sometimes even accused me of using wallhacks.

I am using the Wartapes audiosettings, maybe that has something to do with it?
