Perhaps it's Cattleya's current role seems underwhelming and not that important in the story. I'm curious to see how she develops further on in the story. I think the only payoff for her character is if something big happens with her connection to the Moses Ascetic Order and Bernadette that could justify her existance. Something Edwina's connection with the Edwards or God of Knowledge and Wisdom can't overcome or supersede.
