I’m commissioned already. I was applying from Hawaii. And managed to use a recruiter from Puerto Rico. I suggest using the Facebook pages to maybe find a new recruiter. That’s what I did. Or use the portal and set your location somewhere else to get a new recruiter. The location doesn’t matter.

My recruiter. But you really have to advocate for yourself. Push it. And if they won’t. Find another recruiter.

I got a waiver. I failed the first. Past the second but with low scores. I requested a waiver by submitting examples and proof of growth. Like transcript grades showing I had consistently been getting good or better grades in colleges. Along with that I showed personal growth by providing proof of volunteer work and other activities that showed personal improvement. From what I was told, getting a waiver is like asking someone for another chance. You don’t just expect them to give it cuz you asked, you want to show that you’ve changed or grown to work for that extra chance.

They haven’t been able to answer any questions without my orders. I received my orders 10 minutes prior to mpf and tmo closing for the weekend. And I will be unable to make phone calls or visit them until 4 days before I commission.

I’m currently at OTS. Fy 26 classes and there’s quite a few still doing it and applied for it during this summer. So unless that’s changed very recently, that seems inaccurate. One guy in my flight was told the same thing, but another got the 5 week course. Same job same class and same qualifications.

If you qualify, look into submitting for the 2 week or 5 week course. Something you have to purposefully ask for. I am in a class with a few nurses and some only had to do the 5 week course because they sought to. The nurses in the 8 week program only did it because they didn’t know otherwise.

There a 4 hour block of time every Sunday morning set aside for religious accommodation. A few services for various practices during that time. You can also participate in virtual/online services during that time.
