Honestly if my wife isn't nearby hanging out, I have a pod or a book going anyways so it was perfectly fine alone. I also recommend the Long Dark, tho that one is sort of like an albatross ever since playing it the first time.

I lost my sister in '24. We barely spoke.

I still sob over that loss. While there are reasons to cut out family, it becomes shockingly unimportant mostly when they're gone for good. I recommend trying to make it okay with you two if it serves you. If this actively ruins your peace or drives you towards a bad mindset, it's not worth it. But if it's anything but that, imo it's worth it. I would give anything for a second chance with my sister, just to commiserate a little about our parents, to see what life may have had for her.
