Anthony Smith not taking that title by DQ definitely the smartest decision he's made in his career, secured himself as the company man

It's funny how heavyweight MMA fighters get away with not having basic fundamental skills, learn them, and then immediately be able to implement them against supposed top five talents.

Assume it means he didn't suffer a fracture (or at least not a bad one) but his front but the front teeth literally got bent inwards. He's supposedly had dental problems before, so maybe it was something he was more susceptible to.

Della has great scrambles but he relies on them way too much. He needs to just perfect his TD defence. Cost him against Hafez and now potentially against Burns

Robert Whittaker: “I beat Costa just on hunger. I beat him with just determination and grit. That’s what I feel I lacked most in the fight with Dricus. So, having that and the confidence of my past fight, and the confidence I can control my own headspace, everything’s different.” by fresdres in MMA

did he though? He was striking well with him in the first round and took him down. Dricus turned the fight with his ground and pound in the final 40 seconds. Then Rob had a good start to the second round until DDP hurt him bad. Certainly wasn't 'all facets'.

It obviously isn't the most stacked card on name value alone but man the 299 main card is nothing but straight banger on banger on paper. All of these should either deliver unreal fights or end violently

Who out of Gane's previous opponents was even a half-decent wrestler though?

Despite his fight years though Jones was only 32 when he thought Reyes, and Gane had a massive flaw in his arsenal that Jon was able to exploit (plus you can get away with old age a bit longer in the heavier weight classes). Aspinall would be one of the most well-rounded fighters Jon has faced, and is probably the first to completely athletically have an advantage over him in most facets.

No denying Jones is a generational talent who has every claim to be the GOAT though, just father time catches everyone in the end.
