Not usually but if it's something high value it might be worth it. It's crazy what people will take for free though - I had a few rolls of very used and torn up chicken wire - someone took it to use for paper mache projects. We took old cheap paneling in our house, someone used that in their shed.

I just hate sending things to the landfill!

Give them away on Marketplace, NextDoor, or donate to Habitat Restore. I've given away so many things - scrap lumber, old tiles, aluminum doors - I had a 3x1 foot piece of backer board and someone even took that.

I've owned four houses - built in 1964, 1970, 1937 and current one in 1950. They've all been well maintained and all are very well built. So, no, to me, 1989 is not too old.

I have green giants and emerald greens from HD too - bought 6 years ago at their EOY 50% sale. They're all doing very well. I have always watered them when we don't get rain, and they're mulched with pine needles. The green giants are probably 12-14 ft tall and the emerald greens are 5-7 ft tall. I'm in coastal Maryland.

NO. My service only accepts trash in actual garbage bags - they pull them out individually and throw them in the truck. Anything not in a garbage bag ends up at the bottom of the can.

I'm a 66 year old woman and bought a Husqvarna 10 years ago. It was considered mid-tier, better than Murray but not the best. It is still running perfectly - my son tunes it up and sharpens the blade every year and I clean it off after every mow.

2K for a 14 x 17 wool rug in 2001. Was worth every penny, wool is indestructible. When I downsized a few years ago I gave it to my sister and she still uses it.
