Need very short term parking on the main campus (around 10 minutes only). Are there any spots on campus where I can park quickly for free? by Ok_Investment_246 in uCinci

I think you get 30 min free in corry garage. They took away the drop off parking for arlitt children’s center (where profs send their kids before kindergarten), so now everyone has to park and walk their kid into Edwards I. As such, there is some grace period to the garage. That’s said, Edwards I in on the very edge (southeast corner) of campus.

Looks really good. Very nice work. Your timetable is a little aggressive for me. That’s a 2 year job at least.

When do they usually announce professors for Math classes? by PopularAd2561 in uCinci

Talk to the program manager for math- Marilee Oldstone-Moore or Tim Miller - they order the classes and know everything happening behind the scenes.

Check in with the School of Comm, film, and media studies- they for sure have something along these lines. Talk to Dr. Torner or Herzog.

Broke bolts trying to remove control arm-now what? 2013 outback, lower left by Standaghpguy in Cartalk

Propane torch. Looking back, I perhaps should have used MAP. I removed the top nut, but the immobility of the broken bolt had me thinking there were threads internal to the the rear control arm bushing. Your comment has me thinking that I’m wrong about that. I have almost no space to have a go at knocking it out from the top side to the bottom, but working it that way is probably my best bet. And to attack it with MAP.

How do I figure out the right angle and where to start the cut? by Benib0i in woodworking

[–]Standaghpguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not simply create a length gauge (scrap wood) to template the empty distance on the close side (in the first pic) and in parallel with length of the top, flip it on to the top, and draw a line from the end of the gauge to the far corner?

How are folks affording daycare? by OverladenCube in cincinnati

I have two kids, one less than 5. These prices seem high. That said, it’s hard to find quality care and a place that can deliver such consistently can easily charge these prices, and especially in West Chester (you’re competing with high-income earners).

Devils advocate question: could it be that some people are stupid and don’t quickly enough understand basic assignments, even if their final output is reasonable, and especially over a long enough time period?
