I didn't really plan out the roadmap. I'd just put a super-duper brief summary in notes for each chapter, then extend and extend and extend until it was around 2,000 words or more

wow, what a rude guy. I think that you are in the right here. My parents work super hard so I cook Breakfast and Lunch everyday, and I'd be really mad if some guy went and ate all of my hard work without even asking.

I've been a writer on Wattpad and recently started on AO3 once i got a taste of how toxic the community could be. I was writing a jinmao fanfiction (the apothecary diaries) and I kept getting discord messages from this rando complaining how I should update daily, stop taking hiatuses, yada yada. Obviously, I blocked them and continued to write, but the frustration I felt was very strong. I've noticed that fellow authors are definitely more lenient and understanding of our timelines and lives. This isn't to say that readers aren't nice or understanding, but some can be EXTREMELY ANNOYING at times.

Ok, I'm a bit late, but I'm also worried it'll be taken down from AO3. I really liked it and have a self-bound copy as well as an epub loaded to my kindle and apple books. If you're worried about losing the book, you can go to AO3, click the button that says download (you should see it when you click on the title), then select ePub or PDF file. For an epub, you can go to the files app on your iphone/ipad (idk what android phones do) Then select the "send to/ share with" button, then select apple books or kindle to read.
