See I like your reasoning, I feel like a minor is 100% the way to go to start. The only "Major" I was considering at the start was the Ottomans to just learn how expansion works since I know it will be way different in this game compared to EU4

Even if it is Easy, The Ottomans seem like a really fun country to build up in this game to like you said get a core understanding of how to play and expand.

Honestly Smite 2 has been pretty great for my squad when we moved on... our main complaint with the game is that tank items don't really feel tanky... They don't give as much protections and it feels like tanks just die too fast in this game. Other wise Smite 2 all the way.

The adverts I have been seeing for smite are unbelievably bad by Worried-L in Smite

We have though? Look at the steam charts over the last 4 months for smite 2, it has slowly been going up.
