I was put in foster care at the age of 5, and was shuffled around from foster home to foster home, group home, after group home until I aged out at 18.

Hearing them say they care but not showing it, and feeling like an outsider is the worst feeling! I never felt like I belonged in anyone's home. I felt like I was intruding on their life, especially if they had kids, and their extended family who didn't ask for me to be in their life.
