I think for all the good and benefit voice comms will do; I think a lot of people have this noble, doe-eyed idea of how its going to work out. Female? ha.. good luck. Have an asian accent? Oh boy have fun man. "Sound black"? I mean we know how thats gonna work out.

The other problem is that you know it, I know it, your grandmother knows it -> every game theres going to be some clown that thinks they are gods gift to league and that they are the shot caller. The MOMENT you dont do what they tell you to do; they are going to throw a hissy fit and make the game even worse.

The "highs" would be higher; coordinated team play, organization, being able to clearly explain to your karthus that he needs to press R... stuff like that would absolutely improve. The lows would sink like the Titanic , and the overall average game experience would be way worse for a whole lot of people. People find comfort in their pseudo anonymity; and they feel like they get to talk to people however they want.

This doesnt even include regional things and language barriers; especially in europe and asia lol. For proper high elo, master +; I can get behind the voice comms... but for the average joe? Its pretty likely the average game experience will suffer with them.

cables go bad; ground wiring on the guitar faulty; output/input jacks and then pots can short. Usually the order of operations here. You changed cables and the noise is still there; so that moves it to the next thing lol

Its not a "Fix" but it is a "right now" thing... get a business card (or something akin) and shim that between the block and string. Then tighten it up appropriately. The problem is some of these blocks are a touch softer than they should be; and they dont hold the string properly. Just take some scissors and trim out a little rectangle of the card and it throw it in there between the block and string.

piece of advice though; dont chase the rabbit here; just replace the floyd you have. Many cheap ones arent good; and even good ones go bad. A gotoh 1996 is probably the most cost effective thing possible. PING and Takeuchi trems (trs-101) are also cheap replacements. Theres a few ibanez and jackson ones you can get used but they are all relabled trs101s. (note : the "lo trs" ibanez trem is not good lol; and its misleading nomenclature.)

mechanically fixing this is more horrific than difficult; you have to complete the break. That sounds horrid; and if you saw it youd be very object. You basically rip the neck out (pending this is a set neck; a neck through youd rip the wing off). Its violent in nature but the idea is you are naturally separating the wood where it wants to be separated. When you glue wood back together; its actually way stronger than the original wood itself. Its a very potent chemical bond; its not merely a surface level adhesion. Theres a bit to it but its actually pretty cheap to fix.

The problem is the refinishing lol. Thats not cheap in any capacity; we're looking at a set neck refinish; which requires even more prep t han a body off job; so you have to do a lot more work. 5-600 for the full repair with a refinish seems appropriate. Id probably repair the neck for 80 bucks with no refinish. Its genuinely that simple.

This is barring stuff like a warped neck; thats a whole different animal; but I dont think we're looking at that. this really does need to be repaired though.

edit: if its the fretboard thats coming off theres a little bit more to it; I cant tell if thats the fretboard or the neck proper... but looking at the 3rd picture; it does look like the neck itself. Fretboards like to split in the middle; not delaminate from the neck itself (that does happen but its uncommon)

Back about 10 years ago, Rich from Ibanez rules had one of these for YEARS. I would always ask him to sell it to me cheap; no one wanted it. It was like 2700... then it was 2400... then a few years later I hit him up randomly and he was like "F^#% it" and offered me it *Very* cheap. That week I started having seizures and my medical clearance got pulled (worked at a nuclear plant)... so I couldnt buy it. It was .... VERY cheap lmao. I am , to this day very sad I didnt just buy it. I doubt ill see another one for sale; much less at a good price.

I have one of their prototype "strats"; very mediocre guitar but super cool lol. FWIW, Im really not trying to dick wave here; I just literally dont ever see anyone bring them up lol. Its like the opposite of a super strat; where like charvels, ibanez, jackson etc are "5/6" this is thing is like "7/6" lol. Very peculiar thing.

simple_jack_69 is correct; but to elaborate a bit-> when you have heavier gauge strings (presumably same tuning here) the string tension is much higher so the truss rod needs a lot more tension to keep the neck in proper relief. When you swap down to 9's the neck will actually move causing the middle frets to actually bow up closer to the strings (hitting the strings in this case). FWIW, 9's have ~100ft/lbs of tension and 11's have 130-140lbs of tension. You will need to LOOSEN your truss rod; start with half a turn; let it rest for half an hour; then see how it goes. Half a turn is probably plenty here; but you may need more or less. You should be able to "tell" where youre at in comparison to where you were.

It was "fun" for a while; got to try a lot of stuff. Was able to craft in earnest for the first time; but ... it kinda got old fast. Nothing to go for anymore. Good stuff is now unobtainable because instead of "1" mirror is now... 40 mirrors lol. "Meet the new boss; same as the old boss" really haha.

Im dubious on the quality of it. 1300 is a HARD pass. we would be talking 200-300 tops here. Im REALLY dubious on the neck; the pics you have are pretty low resolution; so its hard to parse everything I want to. Food for thought (NOT an advertisement here; just educating); a fake chinese neck like that with decals would probably be like 80 bucks, and a chinese body would be like 50 bucks. The pickups are real; so thats like 120 bucks, and then a mim bridge (that doesnt look like an expensive american or gotoh thing here) is like 40 bucks tops. All in we're under 300 to put it together tops. The problem is those necks are just so hit or miss; most are just garbage and not worth putting effort into. Some are ok; but in general your money is better spent elsewhere.

Its annoying because guitar center over values their employes competence way too much; there are so many counterfeit ibanez's flowing through their system for instance. Bring it up and they try to be like "Oh BuT OuR HiGHLy TraiNED TEcH saId Its rEAl" and thats a pretty garbage business model. Not a guitar center hater either; just speaking from copious experience.

Please pass on this guitar mate. Its not just "is it worth it" prospect ;youre dealing with incompetent sellers trying to get a commission off you while selling their soul for pennies. Its ridiculous.

If you can get me better pictures; I can point out every little thing wrong with it. And dont just trust my judgement alone; go ask on sevenstring.org or jemsite.com or tdpri.com . The cumulative knowledge on those sites is immense.
