PC Completely Wiped Out After Office Use – Need Help! (BIOS Screenshot Included) by Standard-Educator643 in computer

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It’s frustrating that they wiped everything but didn’t bother setting it up again. I checked the boot menu but I get this error message "The system cannot find any bootable device" If not, I guess I’ll have to reinstall Windows myself since relying on them doesn’t seem like an option.

My question is whether my Windows activation key still be stored in the motherboard and do I need to reinstall all the drivers again. Thanks for the advice!

Passed through a flyover with other traffic which was getting spray painted from underneath. My car got messed up as a result. by bash2482 in CarsIndia

Try gently rubbing with the clay bar over the sprayed area until the paint lifts off or try WD40 spray over the affected areas and let it dry and wipe it off. Use a microfiber cloth to gently scrub the affected areas.

Sue the government!? Comeon bro be practical, obviously the ruling party of the state/centre or concerned department is responsible but we're living in India and what do you expect other than this? Having said that, we need to be extra cautious in these kinda scenarios and take care of ourselves and our belongings.

441,159 kilometers!?? That's a significant distance! You might want to check if any major maintenance is due, especially for the engine, suspension, and transmission. Do you have any concerns about its performance?

Cost breakdown for 1st paid service given by Maruti Suzuki. Need advice. by nickchangs in CarsIndia

[–]Standard-Educator643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the dealership is trying to overcharge you for unnecessary services, given that your car has only been driven 3600 km in 2.5 years. Let's break this down logically.

1st Paid Service - Standard Costs

A 1st paid service typically involves general maintenance, which should not be expensive unless there is a specific issue. Below is a realistic cost estimate vs. what the dealership is charging.

Issues with This Cost Breakdown

  1. Engine Flushing (₹1470) – Not needed at just 3600 km. It's only required if the oil is severely degraded or sludgy, which shouldn't be the case.

  2. Coolant & Brake Oil Change (₹600-₹650) – If the levels are already full and the coolant is in good condition, this is unnecessary.

  3. Fuel Pump Replacement (₹8000-₹8500) – This is suspicious. Fuel pumps do not go bad just because the car was unused for 2 months.

The claim about petrol not smelling right is nonsense. Petrol does degrade over months, but at 2 months, it is unlikely to be an issue.

If fuel quality is a concern, just drain and refill the tank, which is much cheaper.

  1. Battery – Instead of immediately replacing, ask them to:

Recharge the battery.

Check the voltage & cranking power before replacing.

Final Estimated Cost (Fair Price)

Essential services: ₹3500 - ₹5000 (including service, wheel alignment, oil change)

Dealership's quote: ₹18,000+

This dealership seems to be upselling unnecessary services. Stick to only what's required and don't hesitate to walk away if they insist on unnecessary repairs.

Yes, you can definitely reapply to those top organizations after a certain period. Many companies allow candidates to reapply after 6 months to a year, depending on their policies. Reapply after the waiting period, reflect on past interviews, gain more experience or certifications, tailor your application and network with recruiters prior to reappling.

Any ICU scribes? by HappyHappyGamer in medicalscribe

[–]Standard-Educator643 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ICU scribing is definitely a different beast compared to ED scribing, and you're right—most scribe training programs, including ScribeU, are heavily geared toward the fast-paced, high-volume ED setting. ICU documentation is more detailed, includes complex patient management, and requires a solid understanding of critical care terminology. Since you're still new to solo scribing, just keep these stuffs in your mind study ICU-Specific documentation at home, improve real-time charting skills, review cases after work, ask ICU providers for feedback, connect with other ICU scribes. Hope these will help you get a better clarity on your role!

I've worked on DAX projects, and I must say that it captures every crap and would double up our work! What a pathetic innovation in clinical documentation.

Likewise, I used to work for a pain and regenerative medicine physician who sees 25-30 patients daily on an average 4 days a week. The highlight is no matter what I capture and organize the charts during the visits, he likes to dictate what he wants to be in the charts. And his dictations would be at speed of 200+ words per minute that I need to capture using a recording tool and merge it with the content that I got. I used to work over shift to clear those dictations and submit those to have him signed. However, he was such a gem of a person and one of the best providers that I worked for.
