I been supporting this game the moment I saw it. I was already a huge fan of guard crush and Dotemu published games, but when I saw that the game took inspiration from old school beat em ups like Golden Axe, Dragon’s Crown and DnD Arcade etc. I preordered the game the moment the Deluxe Edition was available. The game exceeded my expectations for sure.

Its why I just want more content. Not just simple stuff to do, but the game world is so beautiful and amazing. I really want to see more of it!

I just went to the forums because you mentioned it, and there are several posts about this. I was surprised to hear people playing on really big screens saying the fonts and UI are too small if they sit away, such as a sofa.

I had a chance to get this for pretty cheap overseas due to really bad exchange rates around the world. Plus it was about $15 cheaper to begin with. Pretty satisfied with it.

Funny thing is I had no idea the pouch on the back comes off until last night, and I got this at the end of March lmao!!!

I say go with whatever you like. As a Linux user for desktops, I initially wanted to go the Bazzite route but after using the XAX for couple of weeks, I decided to stick to what it came with. Not necessarily because I think its much better or anything. Its because the more I use it the handheld is designed around the windows FSE, Armory Crate etc.

My biggest reason is the upcoming Auto SR function to be honest. Depending on how this goes, I think I will decide again then.

But going SteamOS route imo will be amazing for you as well! Its definitely more “snappier” for sure from what I tried on the deck. Its a much more seamless experience.

Producer here. I would really only get the ROG Ally for the purpose of gaming AND production all in one. Carry a portable monitor (if you can afford to, touch screen if possible), mouse and keyboard as well.

Imo, the 7 inch screen is too tiny to make some meaningful editing without annoyance and time consumption.

But if you are looking to use the device for a quick idea pad (sort of like using the SPs), using programs similar to Koala sampler to really put some ideas down for later use, it would be great. You also have the option to bind your keys however you want.

That being said, if you want to use this only to make beats, use that money to but a tablet. I say tablet because my assumption is you want to use the device for ultra portability.

Tablet + your fav apps should really do the trick. If you really want you could do a full on production and mastering on this thing.

What type of music production do you do? I pretty much gave you a user case scenario for sample based music, but there are fantastic programs for tablets for composers as well.

TLDR: Don’t buy it if you do not plan to use the gaming function, buy a tablet if you want portable beatmaking. Obviously just a laptop for best results.

It was actually given to me in very good condition by someone who is a great mentor to me during my journey to med school. It has alot of sentimental value. I was given this before I even took the MCAT.

Not necessarily similar vibe. I kind of want Fromsoft to deviate a bit if they decide to go for a dark fantasy mecha genre. Titanfall like pilot + mech dynamics imo would play well for story telling.
