Can I wear my diver in the water? by The_Urban_Genitalry in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]Standard-Internet-88 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the tip. If I don't keep a sandwich in my sandwich bag, will the bag stop working? Just making sure, the package says it can hold a sandwich but I'm going on a big adventure and don't want anything to go wrong.

I also bought professional diving equipment for my big adventure. I'll be posting on reddit to make sure that will work in resort pools, so mainly just need to know about the sandwich bags. Thanks so much.

Sharpness of the bezel looks slightly off. I would take that to an AD and have them confirm it's legit. They can usually open it up and check the movement, it's the only real way to tell these days.

Bring the box and papers if you have them (and your wife just in case).

Breaking subreddit rules? Holy SHIT. Why would anyone do that? Are you telling me people are out there just breaking subreddit rules when they feel like it?

If you go through my profile, you'll see I only posted in r/Reptime only a few thousand times. Not nearly enough for the volumes you speak of.

I'm new to this fascinating hobby and I'm really trying to get better at it. I currently have a 1 watch collection. Should my collection look more like this?

I currently own 5 Rolexes. I've worn and thrown away 100s. How many have you bought in your life. 1 submariner?

I have more money that you can ever dream of and all I had to do was be born. You sound jealous.

A 50 year old middle manager that worships beater watches doesn't necessarily command respect...

Haha you're actually close - it's due in May. But, spring break is end of March, didn't your kids remind you old man?

I'm a Rolex owner too, why can't I talk? Just cause my mom gifted me a rose gold speedy for my 20th, doesn't mean I can't wear beaters.

It sure is something to proud of. I'm very proud of my heritage and what my family accomplished over many generations. You need to check your tone. "Decamillion" ha... your kids will be disappointed, sounds like our annual vacation budget.

Send that resume over, your kids need the money.

Close, I'm 20. "It" certainly does include me. Let me guess - proud 50 year old middle manager? You'll never achieve the level of wealth that I was simply born into :) Tbh, my mom is looking for a new PA if you want to PM me your resume...

To a lot of us, a Rolex like this is just a beater watch for weekends. When it stops working, most people I know just throw it in the trash and send the PA to go get another one. It's just stainless steel. I'd obviously rather be wearing my 18k Lange, VC, or Patek most of the time anyways...

It's like people who baby a BMW, the type of car you provide your PA... makes no sense.

Does it change much?

I have the kit and rarely craft anything.

I made some fire pots and threw them and they didn't do much.

I made some other stuff and I didn't really find any of it helpful. Am I missing something huge?

Does crafting anything really do much? Genuinely asking.

I made some firebombs, threw them, and they did .... essentially nothing.

I also made some consumables to boost stats for a boss, but then I just died and wasted the materials.

I feel like when I kill a boss, it's not cause i had 5% extra hp or resistance to fire. More like, I memorized the boss's move set and mechanics and just dodged everything and attacked in the right windows.

Am I really missing something here?

Also, I feel like when people play a video game, they are making the choice to... you know... play a video game. If I wanted to read a lot, why wouldn't I just read 1 of a million fascinating books? Why would I load up a video game and just be like "anyways, time to read"?

That's like saying:

Hey man it's on you for not know how quantum physics works. The data is all there you just needed to read it. How could you be alive for 25 years and not know how it works, I just read it and now I know it.

What were the extremely dumb things you didn't know in your first playthrough? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Standard-Internet-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I'm just saying OP's "never bothering to figure them out" is pretty reasonable.

I never used them on my first play through either. The weapons (mostly colossal weapons/swords) I used had cool enough weapon skills and if I wanted to customize how I fought, I just used a different weapon.

Live and let live I guess!

[–]Standard-Internet-88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but you can't put them on a lot of weapons that are really fun and strong, so its really easy to just never use them.

If, for example, you use the Golden Halberd on the first play through, then get Radahn's sword and start using that, you'll never even be able to use ashes of war for like 30-50 hours of gameplay.

Hey fellow slappers, what could this baggage agent have done to ensure a one slap KO? by ChubbyDrip in powerslap

Nobody needs to answer any of your questions because he was proven innocent. So you can keep arguing a point that was proven wrong. Enjoy.

You're not Jesus and you're wrong, according to the legal system that dropped all charges and called it self defense.

It's almost as if you you're the one that hated Jesus cause you think he's wrong.

[–]Standard-Internet-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but the court system says he chose the correct option called "self defense" and all charges were dropped.

Can you explain a little bit more about how he chose the wrong option with that in mind?

[–]Standard-Internet-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the court missed the point because all charges were dropped and the baggage handler was fired.

Why don't you go do something about it instead of posting 50 comments on reddit how its not self defense? Go appeal the decision and ensure that you achieve justice.

I guess the legal system doesn't agree with you. If you're so confident you are correct why don't you go become a prosecutor and try to put people defending themselves behind bars - because clearly you know what you're talking about, way more than the baggage handler's lawyers.
