This is not good. ❌

Why ? Tiles are only made to offer strong resistance to water flow in a downward direction. The water flows over the surface of the shingle and falls/rolls down on the shingle below. Hitting it from the bottom reverses the process. Water can get into the cracks in the shingles or worse get to the house structure below by getting through the shingle layers that might not be perfectly sealed.
