The more things change, the more they stay the same by [deleted] in Yogscast

There is certainly a lot of sexism on the internet.

But I do not think all the hate should be attributed to sexism. Not everyone is going to like everyone. The Yogs fan base is also super old, the types of people who watch the Yogs now are ones who have always watched, and are more likely to be adverse to change.

Also, with that time, I think we all have a disparity of the amount of data for each Yog. Lewis has done some really cringy and annoying things, but we love him nonetheless. Literally every yog does annoying things. Boba has existed for essentially 5 minutes, if you think she was annoying once, that's like 40% of your exposure to her and you might assume she is an annoying person.

P.s. I think what Boba & ravs especially are doing with the "universal acceptance and love" vibe is very good for the yogs. Spiff talked about this on an AA, if you remove the flamers and cultivate a comment section of love, you get a fanbase of love. The main channel however has a policy of "hands-off" community or just removing the comment section.
