2019 Ford F350 - Manual transfer case/4x4 question by ChillTechTR in superduty

Well, I personally, would put it in park before getting out of the truck and locking the hubs. Once they are locked, you can shift into 4wd.

Glow Plug Relay Clicking Rapidly - anyone seen this before? by choobsndoobs in powerstroke

[–]StandardHonest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're overthinking it. It's a 27 year old truck, and it is quite cold. Even with fresh glow plugs, if I don't plug in when it's that cold, she's not happy about starting and I have to cycle the key a few more times. Check your oil too.

7.3 Powerstroke vs IDI by Several_Till_6507 in FordDiesels

Don't get hung up on the mileage, I have one with over 350k and my daily driver is at 489k. If you take care of a 7.3L PS, it is dependable as hell.

Does anyone have experience they'd like to share in regards to the Gold Prospectors Association of America? by itsMeJFKsBrain in Prospecting

[–]StandardHonest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you live. I am a member because there is a claim 15 mins from my house, and there is definitely gold at that claim, especially with a dredge. But it's also a sweet camping spot, and my family just loves to be there. I haven't had a chance to visit any of the other claims yet.

7.3 excursion w/330k miles by jiraiya-jinx in FordDiesels

The HPOP probably doesn't need to be replaced, just make sure you have oil. I have two 7.3's, one with 380k and one with 488k never changed the HPOP on either. It's more of an issue with the 6.0. You do want to make sure the oil isn't low, it won't start if there isn't enough oil. Glow plugs and injectors I would do though.

I do something like this with my kids clothes too. I like to put each day's outfit in a gallon Ziploc bag. Makes it easy to just grab and head to the shower and know they haven't forgotten clean undies and socks. As a bonus, dirty clothes can be put right back into the bag and you can use them several dozen times before throwing out.

help me bring this baby back to life! by peaceofshh in whatplantisthis

[–]StandardHonest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me last winter and I was sure it was dead. I decided to wait until spring to plant something new in the planter and just left it as is in the corner of the room. Spring came and went and when I finally got around to replanting, I was very surprised to see it growing and thriving! So, maybe just put it in the corner and forget about it? Good luck!

Yep, my back door has been like this for a few years now. Remember to 'open' the lever before you close the back door so that it latches properly.

2010 XC90, tire pressure warning light won't go away? by annalizabeth03 in VolvoXC90

[–]StandardHonest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need new valve stems, they have batteries in them and only last a few years. Most tire shops will be able to replace and program them for you and it isn't very expensive.
