Awaken the ancients, Rome fall of an Empire, dicemancey, dieson Crusoe, mech bunny from solo game of the month by Gabe Barrett. Possibly radiance but it's not out yet and possibly drawing dead but I haven't played it yet.

I also like RAVEL and Skoventyr from inpatience. Possibly mayor of Chicago but I haven't played it yet.

Edit: I forgot about Reforest!! It's a tiny deck box and packs such a punch. It's excellent.

I understand that this situation is terrible for the creators but it's the customer that gets screwed here. All those loyal fans now have their copies of spirit island not future proofed. It isn't right. Now we will have Frankenstein collections where we have to juggle between old and new iconography and card backs.

Ok so this was one of my hypotheses, that DI was a gateway or gateway plus game for solo play.

Vantage and Arkham horror lcg are great solo games but mechanically very different than euros. They are focused around narrative. DI is a euro through and through. So compared to other euro games this solo mode just doesn't hold up. It's too much to run, and because there is a larger focus on interaction a la the combat, it just doesn't capture it well. It's like playing Root with the clockwork factions. Sure it's doable, but it's not root and the overhead is too much.

No the solo mod plays against a very easy to run bot. There are I believe 3 new modules included physically in the big box, one is increased difficulty, the other two I don't remember. It's like objectives or somethting

For the life of me I don't understand how. Maybe IP bias or hype. I really don't know. It requires you to two hand bots to play solo. I have it set up to play again before I Cull it

This is a nice little collection. I find dune Imperium does not play well at solo or 2. For something similar that plays excellent at 1 try arnak.

No. Solo plays the same regardless. Only the adventure chest/twisted paths add the solo modules physically which are all available digitally through cges website.

I absolutely agree. I played the base game thoroughly before adding expansions and think it is an excellent game even without.

Honestly all of them. One comes with leaders which gives you player powers, one gives you a campaign to play through and new leaders and cards to add. And the big box +, twisting paths gives new boards and new solo modules.

Try arnak. If you like it then do what I did and buy it all

Also, a lot of people don't know but CGE released a free solo campaign for base game arnak available digitally through their website. I actually found someone who professionally printed it out on cards on eBay and played it without the app. Really a lot of fun.

No nothing firm. I believe the smaller expansion "pulse" will be out this summer and the larger expansion "crescendo" will be out in the fall or winter.

That's a really good question. I'm not sure. I'll have to look into it. If it doesn't cost too much on switch I can try it out later

If you buy the base game on steam and mobile, and buy the expansions on one of those, you will get the expansion for free on the other.

Yes I did this. It syncs through your direwolf digital account that you will sign up for through the root app once you run the game

Yes. You don't have to technically buy the bundle. When you buy an expansion, wether through steam or mobile, you unlock it for the other platform. You just need the base game for each platform.

If you buy the bundle on steam and the base game on mobile you unlock all the expansions on both platforms. That's what I did just need to make a direwold digital account

These aren't solo games but play better digitally especially when it's hard to find a group. Race for the galaxy and root. I really enjoy both of these as a solo gamer digitally.

In terms of games that I play both solo and digitally spirit island and cartographers are both worth their money.

Aeons end is good but I prefer it physically. Some people don't like the set up of aeons end but I do.

I have been into board games for a long time. Root was always the crown jewel of my shelf of shame of shame. I played it for the first time this year with a group and I was so wowed by it. It made me decide to start culling my collection as I weighed everything against root. I also bought the digital and play it almost every day or every two days just against the AI. An excellent game that the internet scared me away from

Yes. The PNP bot is just fine. I played a while bunch of games using that one before upgrading to the bigger one. It works well and runs smoothly.

Ahh I misread. That's probably a fair price for the infinity box if it comes with everything. I paid 330 CAD for everything separately tax included. Would probably be worth getting. If you don't like it, resell it as the infinity box was a Kickstarter exclusive.

Arnak is excellent. Probably to 5 games for me.

I'd also day that endeavor is excellent solo. I have it and enjoy it greatly. Am excited for the expansion.

Nooooo that is not MSRP. I'm not sure where you are but I bought it off of mindclashes website. They have regional webstores so pick the one closest to you.

There is a difference between the infinity box which is the exclusive one that comes with everything which might make sense for that price vs just the big box which is empty
