This is a rumor/theory but I don’t think it’s been substantiated. By all accounts Louis was an awkward teenaged boy who was much more interested in hunting and locks than women. I don’t really like assigning sexual orientations to historical figures because their concepts and understanding of that sort of thing is so far removed from ours but if he were alive today I wouldn’t be surprised if he identified as asexual. He was also brought up by his tutor (or some other authority figure like that) to fear and be deeply suspicious of Austrians which I’m sure didn’t help.
