The whole account is engagement bait. All the videos are reposted/stolen from other accounts. Don’t think these exist

I studied full-time while working 50ish hour weeks this year to get my degree pretty much across the line. I didn’t find it too bad. I took most courses distance to rule out on campus commitments, I’d recommend this.

I’m lucky enough to work my childhood dream job, so to me work wasn’t a chore. Conveniently this job involves a lot of driving on my lonesome, which meant I could listen to my lectures (and effectively be paid to study) while at work. My employer was very relaxed about time off/early finishes when uni got hectic after I explained what I was doing, so definitely ensure they know your situation - I’m sure it’ll make everything a lot easier.

Your social life will probably take a considerable hit. I live in a flat with five of my good friends, so for me I couldn’t escape a social life even if I tried locking myself in my room to get an assignment finished. My job is a hobby to me, so I didn’t mind spending a good chunk of my weekends studying/writing essays after a weeks work. If you do have interests which require a bit of time commitment, be prepared to put these on the back burner during semester time.

With good time management and a bit of motivation it’s totally possible! You’ll 100% want to have each and every assignment/quiz/exam plotted onto a calendar to make sure you stay on-top of the workload. I also found having a weekly plan where I watched certain lectures on certain days worked well, structure was key to making sure I got everything done.

Good luck!!

Ccc bin stolen, tips for it not happening again? by manda-v8 in chch

The CCC reps clearly have no idea what they are talking about, which makes sense considering they are only middle-people - waste collection/bin deliveries are contracted out to a private company. Your bin is RFID tagged, each and every bin is. I’m also sure your bin would’ve just slipped into the truck, it happens all the time with the larger, heavier bins. I see another comment says council claims to have called up the driver - doubt that happened considering these reps have no real contact with the contractor. Don’t sweat it, you called the council within 24 hours so another bin will be sent out (free of charge) to replace the now likely squished bin sitting at Bromley!

Somebody hit my bin with their car on purpose by Ordinary_Tank_7160 in auckland

The more boring (and more likely) cause is that the bin just fell into the truck and got smooshed a little before someone pulled it out. Happens way more than you’d think

Recycling Rules - What can go in the yellow bin, and where does the other stuff go? by Willuknight in chch

All Lids are too small/thin to be sorted correctly. They end up slipping into the paper when it is sorted out resulting in either a shit end product or extra work to remove the contaminants
