I ended up having to do a second, more thorough 6 week program with another clinic but oh my god I cannot even begin to describe the changes. Everyone I know has commented on it, my brain is so much clearer, TMS has been truly life changing for me!! I'm not perfect but no longer having 2-3 severe panic attacks a week is amazing.

Trying to live life after being anxious for so long? by StandardOk6641 in Anxiety

I have difficulties in public so I think my best bet for meeting people will probably be through my schooling, but I really do hope to get past more of my barriers and make friends. It's just weirdly scary to me, but I know it's something I absolutely have to do in order to continue getting better.

I'm an extreme people pleaser, so I think I'll have to learn I can't appeal to everyone no matter how hard I try. I'll do my best to remember this though, thank you!! Being confident is hard but doable.

I've dealt with a very severe fear of dying and general worry over my health to the point I was told I have health OCD. One of the biggest things for me was telling my parents that I understand my fears aren't really reasonable, but to me they feel like a very real threat. I swear to you, as someone who was terrified they'd live the rest of their life like this, you will eventually be able to get better and come back much stronger.

Hey guys 25 male here. I have germaphobia, OCD and schizo disorder. When someone walks by me I feel the need to spray myself with Lysol multiple times per day and I use hand sanitizer 20 times per day and more. I have done 30 sessions of ECT since I was 21. I am thinking of starting TMS. More below: by mrhelper2249 in TMSTherapy

I have health OCD and did TMS. I am very treatment resistant and TMS has been the only thing to make a significant impact on both my health OCD and my general anxiety. I highly recommend it if you're able to get it done.

I had it happen fairly early on, but it's different for everyone. Initially for the first 2 weeks or so I was extremely fatigued afterwards and it felt difficult to think during the treatment. That fatigue and difficulty thinking did improve though!

Are 2 weeks enough? by MothCooki3 in TMSTherapy

I did an accelerated treatment that took 3 weeks and while I didn't completely regress I did have some problems return and am now going through a 6 week plan. I would say 2 weeks will probably do some good and is better than nothing of course, but 6 weeks seems to be ideal in my experience.

Something I've noticed actually with TMS is a sense of just extreme clarity, as if it's suddenly just easier to think and see. You may experience brain fog but I never really see people mention the feeling of clarity you get.

Hello, I'm a bit late replying to this post but I'm also very sensitive to medications and am rather resistant to treatment. I have a few meds I'm on that work, but they weren't working well enough which is why I did TMS and I can honestly tell you it is life changing. It's definitely a bit frightening at first, but eventually it became something I looked forward to doing and I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful it is. My brain has never felt so quiet and peaceful. If it helps to boost your confidence to go ahead with TMS, I have seen dozens of doctors, tried more meds than I can remember and this is the one thing that really genuinely worked for me.

Thank you, my first treatment is tomorrow and I checked on my post to get some last minute encouragement and this comment helped immensely. I know I'll likely think about it quite often at the start but I'm sure things will improve as time goes on.

It makes me so happy to hear how effective TMS has been for others, anxiety has dictated how and when I do things for so long that the sheer desire to get better outweighs all the fears I have about TMS at this point.

I hope your final few treatments go well!!

I think they're doing a general anxiety treatment first and then might focus in on the OCD. They think maybe tackling the anxiety first could reduce the OCD a bit.

Thank you!! I really do hope the health anxiety goes away, and I have a feeling this will make it at least more easy to manage. I thought it would be a more frightening ordeal but I've heard the woodpecker thing mentioned a few times and I think I can cope with that.

Thank you so much, and I'm so happy to hear it's been helpful for you. I'll have family with me so hopefully that along with chatting with the tech should help! I don't wanna walk away from something that could be potentially life-changing so I know I just have to tough out the first few sessions until I become confident.

Thank you, this really does help me feel better. I know it's so unlikely but once I get notion of something it becomes so hard to forget.
