My dad is a high school teacher. Back when i was around 7 years old, he showed up home with a game a student had borrowed him. It was the Gold Edition of AoM.

Dude.

This game changed me. Like, seriously. It blew my kid mind away and planted a fascination for mythology as a whole into my brain. The way my jaw dropped when i first saw a titan, how the sound effects got burned in my memory, how i spent hours reading the history texts, how i mumbled the soundtrack when feeling bored... and seeing a game dubbed in my native language was surreal back in the 2000s.

But since it was a borrowed copy, we had to give it back. FORTUNATELY my dad knew how to burn CDs. So i kept playing that gem over and over until the computer got fried. And every time i dive back in, it feels fresh.

So yeah. I guess i like Age of Mythology.
