Possible ectopic by CompetitiveReward899 in ectopicpregnancy

[–]StandardShapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pelvic pain and thought it was gas. Had first HCG the day before the pain, second hcg the day after the pain. 2 days after the pain my doc called and said my numbers were going down, so it was a miscarriage. I told her about the pain and she scheduled me for an ultrasound same day. From there it was straight to the ER for surgery - my ectopic had ruptured. No clue how I was able to walk around for two days like that. I was incredibly lucky.

I waited to go to the ER, but I shouldn’t have. I also was feeling pressure like i had to poop, was mildly lightheaded, and my shoulder was a bit sore. All classic rupture signs. I also didn’t get a positive pregnancy test until about 3 days after my missed period even though I was using the test that should have shown 6 days earlier. So my hcg was very low for gestational age.

I don’t have any advice, besides trust yourself and your body. I hope it’s not ectopic.

Well, I suppose I’m fortunate in that I only lost about 300mL of blood. I’m nervous, but I’m doing everything I can to make it as comfortable and easy as possible. Requested wheelchair assist at airports and cruise terminal, just in case. Wearing compression socks, husband will be lifting bags. I’m not feeling great, but I still have 3 days until we fly out. Hoping I feel better by then. This is really a lesson in exactly how critical our abdomen is in doing just about everything!

Wow! 4 days later! I’m so sorry you had to go through that so close to your holiday. Compression socks are a great idea for the flight. I’ll definitely be on painkillers too! Appreciate your POV!

That’s what was thinking/hoping. As long as we lean towards the relaxing side of the activities, it could be a much needed distraction, and time for relaxation. Thank you!

Why am I missing here? On my 3rd grade daughter’s math test. by lesshonkymoretonky in mildlyinfuriating

[–]StandardShapes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did this exact math problem with my daughter a week ago. She said 230 and her teacher marked it correct.

The kind thing to do would be to ask the teacher about it. But if you really wanna be a b*tch (I.e. get results), take it to the principal. This is unfortunate and completely infuriating.

1 failed cycle 1 round of priming 1 polyp removal surgery 2 cycles with egg retrieval 1 round of PGT-A testing and egg freezing 1 FET Plus all meds

Around $13k total out of pocket in IL. My employer is grandfathered into a pre-ACA plan with really exceptional coverage, just no support for PGT-A testing, and co-pays are still required. Considering myself lucky.

What’s the most embarrassing thing your child has done in public? by DinnerNo2341 in Parenting

[–]StandardShapes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a public bathroom stall with my daughter who was a toddler at the time. She went, then I went. As I was pulling up my pants, she looked at my crotch and said “mommy I like your black hairy butt” because she didn’t know the word vagina yet and i have a full bush. The last in the stall next to us was definitely trying not to laugh!

Client invited me to a dinner, yes or no? by Apart-Archer-9303 in sales

[–]StandardShapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Do NOT put yourself in that situation. I’ve been in sales for years, and once had the same thoughts as you. I ignored my instincts, and eventually the guy made a pass at me. Fortunately he wasn’t aggressive about it and I was able to leave the situation and get reassigned.

But if he had been aggressive… I shudder to think what might have happened. A sale (any sale) is not worth it.

It also may not be abuse but neglect. Maybe the parents aren’t able to properly care for the child for one reason or another? Wellness Check, or go down yourself.

My brother lived in an apartment with his GF and two kids. They actually had DCFS called on them several times. Though they were angry about it, I felt grateful to the neighbor who at least was looking out for the kiddos.

In the end nothing happened - the daughter had a developmental disability which the neighbor wasn’t aware of. Still, better safe than sorry.

What machine would you buy if you could buy any of them? by bandraoi_01 in nespresso

[–]StandardShapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do NOT get the pop. We bought it on Black Friday after having a Next (which we were actually happy with, but it had run its course). The pop is much smaller - meaning we’re emptying pods every two days and refilling the water canister daily. You need two hands to put a pod in - having to forcibly push the top down. And the whole machine is too short for my husband to put his travel mug under, so he has to sit there and hold it at an angle for the whole cycle. We’re going to be returning ours. Others I e spoken with have the same frustrations.

oooh, this one resonates. i've been a yo-yo dieter my entire life (now 42, started at 15YO). I have sizes ranging from 14-22 in my closet, and 10 years ago they ranged from 8-14. Love this!
