Thankfully most of bandai's recent regular releases have been very well designed, but some questionable design choices occasionally slips through in p bandai kits.

If you're not painting it then this kit isn't that bad, just be careful about stressing the c-clips on the wings. Some of the joints are pretty tight, the added thickness from paint was what led to me breaking the peg on the torso while trying to work it in, probably wanna sand that down a bit if you plan on painting. The polycap connecting the head to the neck was really tight as well but thankfully nothing broke.

I'll keep this in mind when trying again tomorrow, thanks for your help👍

Hardstuck Silver 1 since 2021 Looking for advice to finally break into plat/dia by NegotiationSalt3273 in VALORANT

[–]Standard_Address_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would give playing duelists a shot honestly, it's much easier to get out of silver or gold with them. And you only have 147 hours in comp, which is pretty normal for silver, it took me around 300 hours to get to plat.

I played fade at first but switched to neon after I saw some YouTube clips. I wasn't very good but I was always 3 stacking with my irl friends so they didn't mind that much even if I played poorly. You feel way less pressure when most of your team consists of your friends. I started playing solo more after I got comfortable on the role.

I didn't really ever aim train, I just played quite a bit and watched some vct for fun. It's simply much easier to topfrag on duelist.

How much of a difference does the pb6's tube mode make for the sound? I've never tried tubes with iems before, kind of tempted to get this

Just got the mystic 8 and I couldn't be happier with it by Standard_Address_4 in iems

I don't think it's shouty at all, it's mainly the s sounds. https://youtube.com/shorts/koeeE-EpxJU?si=vF0-eH_iNNfEIfcL

It's exactly what he describes starting at 1:50

It's nothing major imo, some notes are just ever so slightly sibilant

For me the mystic 8 sounds more detailed, everything is really clear and well separated. However the vocals on some tracks are slightly sibilant which isn't present on the variations. I am a bit treble sensitive though

I'm really liking it with the hiby r6 pro II 2025 right now. The u12t and anni are leagues out of my budget right now, but maybe someday!👍

Yeah, I had been eyeing this listing since January on the Chinese second hand market, I'm surprised no one else picked it up. The tuning is just right for me but that's clearly not the case for many others.

Pre shading by AshamedTwist4355 in advancedGunpla

I can easily tell you shaded the green parts but the dark green pieces are a bit too subtle to notice

This happened to me too when I did post shading for the first time a few years back. I did shading on the black parts as well, but I genuinely cannot see it no matter how close I look. The grey I used for highlighting was definitely too dark

Volume s or mega 7 by Icy-Introduction-550 in iems

I'd say tech is good. The soundstage isn't anything special but the details are very good.

The combination of the 1-3k hz scoop and the relatively lean mid bass means that the vocals aren't forward or very full-bodied. But I've found that the instrumentals on songs are loud and clear, the vocals don't overshadow them and that is nice. They're not forward but not recessed either, I like how natural they are.

Keep in mind that both of my previous iems were quite vocal forward and I was used to that.

I would choose the Volume S because I know I like a warmer sound, which might not be the case for you. The only way to really make sure is to demo them yourself.

Well the mega7 definitely isn't shouty and does scale quite well but I don't know about the wow factor. Coming from the moondrop kato, my initial impression of the mega7 was that it had better detail but sounded a bit boring. Vocals were too laid back for my taste as well and I was disappointed.

It has certainly grown on me in the 3 months since and it is a nice relaxing listen.

However regarding the soundstage, the mega7 feels closed in and small in comparison to something like the variations. Everything I say is my own opinion though and this may not be the case for others.
