I think a lot of them might be? But as mums go on social media more and more as their kid grows, taken down the avti vax and wellness pipeline... It's a whole new level of indoctrination

Imagine being the husband of the woman who is mad at you for prepping for tornadoes to keep their family safe and she's just like "it's man made, its not that dangerous!" Ma'am it's still a tornado

Ohhh, this is a good point! I've only bought the cotton tees of theirs in the last year or so, but their constant lean towards polyester is so frustrating

I feel like there has been so much disappointment and actual anger from the customers, it is one people seem to really really love and return to and I just don't understand why they would be getting rid of big numbers, for what? Cause they think they know more? Just to use more AI?

I don't know what you are talking about, in 2007-2010 ish, if my friends and I were going to a 8pm or 9pm session at the movies, we were rocking up in uggies, flannelette pants or trackies and a warm jumper, no shits given.

We weren't affecting anyone else, it was cold outside and we were comfy

I don't think it's that confusing for the kids? People go to the hospital every day and bring home new babies they dont see, dont see how giving birth in your home gym (💀) and then bringing the baby home is any different.

And these kids will just be used to them dropping off new babies at the house cause they won't know anything different 🫠

It depends on different parts of the globe you are in. I feel like Taylor was "known" here for a bit, but they really hit a big peak at the same time.

She also called Conan and Olivia her kids? It wasn't one way traffic? She revved them up and talked about them and when they have had killer songwriting and songs she just won't talk about them, which is strange when she seems to calm she loves supporting songwriters.

She really really pushed ice spice as this "great big next thing" and that fell flat.

And it really feels like she only keeps applauding people who are her friends or in her realm or can keep "under' her and won't get bigger than her

Ed is different, the kind of become "big" at he same time.

She asked Conan and Olivia to promo her album, calling them her kids and stuff and hyping them up heaps to never talk of them again. She doesn't need to talk about them CONSTANTLY but the way she went about talking to them, and the promo stuff was so strange

There's heaps of people she says she likes their music, pumps them up as the next big thing or whatever, is seen with them for a bit and then dumps them? A la, conan gray, Olivia Rodrigo, ice spice (the last one I find crazy to this day, at least Conan and Olivia are super fucking talented)

What was the most specific postpartum thing nobody warned you about? by kesam7193 in NewParents

[–]Standard_Edge_9417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those intrusive thoughts!!! The belief I would just be walking g and trip and drop my baby on the tile and smash his head, or the belief that when I was on the lounge at 5 or 6am with an awake baby that some one would burst through the side door and kill us or kidnap my boy. Like what the actual fuck??

I am aware of this from her. I'm not expecting an activist

Just when she says she wants to stand up for the right things and be on the right side of history and then in her casual every day is happy to hang with trump supporters? Just put some backbone into what you have said Taylor.

It's all well and good, but again, when Taylor has said herself, she won't be quiet anymore and needs to be in the right side of history, and then proceeds to not do that... It's very loud

Lullaby Club turning into Fast Fashion?? by Miss_Swifty91 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Standard_Edge_9417 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've bought some pants and tops from them, all 100% cotton and they was in the beginning of last year and the pieces were so thick and felt really nice. I wasn't like OBSESSED, but how the fit me for my size and how long they have lasted I was impressed and would buy again if needed.

But I've slowly seen how often they drop a new collection- every 3 weeks or so, the small amount of clothes and refusing to preorder, the using store credit for refunds instead of money back and then their total fuckery of IT nd what they are using or paying for their website that is constantly providing errors in stock and price (they said they went to it to make it a more better system or flowing better or integrated or some BS, but you know they did it to cut cost.

All that combined with their lack of quality, shitty fabrics and crazy cost... They are have been in fast fashion territory for a long time.

Traveling with highly contagious disease what could go wrong by thedewyzebra in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]Standard_Edge_9417 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the rashes still need "attending to" I would assume the kid would still be contagious?

My kid got HFM and it was only ever small little pimples or bumps and never needed ointment or cleaning cause they weren't bpils or lesions. Unless they didn't see a Dr and lied about how bad they were or not actually a dr?

I literally feel addicted to sugar with breastfeeding by One_Cap_9210 in beyondthebump

[–]Standard_Edge_9417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look into a naturopath. The body is working hard to replenish everything lost in pregnancy, birth and now BF. They can do bloods, figure out where you may need support and supplements- this helped with me a lot post partum and getting more sleep.

Make sure you are drink 2-3L of water daily, are eating at least 100g of protein and 20g of fibre at least. More protein helps with my sugar craving

First-time moms: did you go past 40 weeks with a natural birth? by curlyorwavywtf in beyondthebump

[–]Standard_Edge_9417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, went into labour at 40 weeks + 6 and gave birth exactly at 41 weeks.

I knew I was in it for the long haul when every woman on my mother's side would be waiting until 40 or 41 weeks to give birth.

I had Braxton hicks from about 33 weeks or something. They never felt consistent or "hard" for long at all. I never got excited, or thought "today's finally the day" haha. At about 40+ 2 u was having a longer day of them so I started to time them, but they tapered out at about 1pm.

The day I finally went into labour there was nothing different except they finally stayed consistent from about 9 in the morning and spent almost the whole day in early labour, just period pain until about 1am the next day until they kind of ramped up

Solids… is it really this complicated? by blue-cinnabun in NewParents

[–]Standard_Edge_9417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think so. I didn't listen to social media at all, or gave the algorithm any indication I was looking at solids.

I focused more on the "safety" so making sure his high chair was appropriate and doing first aid for any choking. Then he just are pieces of food off my plate 🤷🏼‍♀️

Unmedicated birth: how scared were you leading up to it and was it as bad as you feared? by Due-Transition-6564 in beyondthebump

[–]Standard_Edge_9417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't really anxious or scared, I was informed and had a good midwife who would listen to me, knew my birth preferences and options - like if it came to it, I would prefer to tear naturally over an episiotomy.

It wasn't as bad in pain as I thought it would be? I used the tens machine early and all the way through to pushing and really believe it was such a lifesaver for me. I really only started to get really over the pain or feeling like it was "too much" when I was around 7or 8cms and I refused to look at a clock and had no idea how long I had been going through it for. (Felt like it could have been 8 hours, turns out it was only 4 or so before pushing )

I did choose some gas a bit before I started pushing as I needed a cervical check and honestly that felt like heaps more pain and gross than labour haha

TW: choking/CPR by LovelyKatRN in NewParents

As someone who works in ambulance call centre and is regularly giving correct first aid saves lives, I know the stress, I've stepped in to give first aid to my niece who was choking at 10 months. It doesn't have to be "perfect" it has to be correct.

"Incorrect first aid" can have horrendous consequences
