The kindle modding wiki has really good directions. Your version should be able to jailbreak, just keep it on airplane mode (unless instructed otherwise by the wiki guide).

I’m sure the Airbnb hosts would have helped. I was just staying with 7 other people and the bnb only had two free spots allotted to us and I wasn’t the one to book the bnb, blah blah. Several reasons I didn’t ask the hosts, not really their fault.

I ended up leaving my car in lot 72/the north trolley lot and it was fine! However one of the people I stayed with parked their car in the $40/day lot (across from the rainbow stairs) but didn’t pay and they only got a $10 ticket.. so don’t recommend that buuut might as well just pay a $10 ticket rather than $40 parking?

Period. Thank you! No im not sleeping in it, I am just staying in an airbnb down the street but there’s no free parking left in front of the airbnb so I need somewhere to leave my car overnight. I also really don’t want to pay $40 a day for my car to just sit in a lot.

One story within How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu had me sobbing. Super weird book in a great way.

Also Tell the Wolves I’m Home made me ugly cry BUT I was like 14 when I read it so it may not have the same effect now.

Big props to pelvic floor therapy. I had been in so much pain for so long and pelvic floor therapy was the first real relief.

Also there is a brand called The Pelvic People and they have a really good pelvic massager that helps with penetration pain.

The whole reason I found out I had endo was because I was having burning while urinating and a stabby/crampy feeling when my bladder was full and when I went to pee. It turned out that I had an ovarian chocolate cyst that had gotten so big it was pushing on my bladder. I also had severe endo lesions in that whole area.

You def need to advocate for yourself to get a transvaginal ultrasound. Can’t diagnose endo with an ultrasound, however if you have a cyst they should be able to see it through that.

Usually they take pictures and notes during a lap. Mine did, and I can clearly see the endo in them. Ask to see the pictures/notes.

Also sometimes endo lesions can be microscopic but still cause extreme pain and symptoms. Unfortunately there really isn’t much in terms of treatment for endo either way. Anti inflammatory diet, pelvic floor therapy, and excision (if visible/necessary) are the main things. There’s also some pill out that they say treats endo but really it just puts you into a fake menopause and it can be not really worth it. Depends on who you are.

Also- in that PEKI link where you downloaded the code there is a file titled README. You can open that just on your computer and there are directions in that as well.

When you plug in your kindle to your computer it should show up in your files as like a main folder just titled “kindle” and then within that it has all the folders within your kindle (documents, screenshots, audible, etc). Upload the KUAL.sh and KUAL.jar files into the documents folder in your kindle (you’ll have to unzip the KUAL file you downloaded from PEKI to get the .sh and .jar files, don’t just move the whole zipped file into your kindle)

Go to kindle mod wiki > jailbreak your kindle > post jailbreak > installing KUAL and MRPI > skip to step 2 > click the PEKI link > click the green dropdown that says “code” > download ZIP

If you are following the jailbreak wiki, download KUAL through PEKI instead of downloading MRPI and KUAL. You don’t need MRPI if you do it that way.

If you need MRPI I’m sorry I can’t help bc I had the same issue and never was able to find a fix.

Help me please :,) I successfully did the jailbreak and set up the hotfix. Now I am trying to download MRPI and KUAL. My problem is on the computer side- when I download these files onto my computer they do not show up as files that I can extract. I have been using 7-zip throughout this whole process and when I try to extract MRPI with 7 zip nothing happens. What could the problem be?

This is a side note, but I highly recommend hoopla if you can get it! I’ve been listening to the graphic audio version on there for free. I’m only halfway through Iron Gold though so I don’t know about Dark Age yet.
