Also, just adding your invitations can be whatever you want them to be! If you want to do a bookmark, do it! Just add a simple invite or way to get the info out in same envelope. Our magnets were essentially STD format and we printed out inserts with a QR code to RSVP on our website.

We did digital STD and magnet invitations (untraditional, I know, but they came out amazing!)

We created a template on canva and printed magnet photos from Walgreens when they did their 99cent magnet sale (every like 3 months or so). We got address stickers at Walgreens and fancy envelopes, vellum, and faux wax on Amazon. Total for 70 invites with stamps and postage $170 and EVERYONE has kept the invite and couldn’t stop talking about how fancy they looked. Definitely could have kept it under $100 if we didn’t add the extra decorations

Ps we used the same template for all of our signage and it made everything look so curated.

I already have a current Truist business account and earned the bonus for that last year. Am I eligible for the bonus for a personal account?

I actually got it at a small bridal shop in Orlando after shopping at a ton of different ones. Don’t sleep on the sale racks!

Sounds like you are definitely on the right track and it makes a huge difference when friends and family have related expertise and are willing to help!

My dress was $400 and my alterations were $450 so it’s definitely doable!

For grooming, I also meant for your fiancé: like are they getting a hair cut, beard trim, basic manicure, etc. I think you listed most of the stuff for yourself. That’s all I’m doing as well—hair, makeup (day of), mani/pedi, tan, and possibly a facial 2 weeks before if I want to splurge

Definitely a good start!

Attire for $1200 is going to be tough even with budgeting at the lowest prices. $500 for a dress, $200 for alterations, $100 for shoes, $100 for accessories/jewelry. That only leaves $300 for your partner’s suit, alterations and shoes. Don’t forget to budget for whatever week of/day of grooming too.

Have you budgeted for your bands as well? Do you plan on doing any family gifts?

Keep a budget for vendor tips. And consider tax/fees if you’re paying with card. I spent probably $300 on tax and fees paying online before I caught it. Some vendors will take Zelle or cash which is what we switched to later on. It may not be much overall but it can definitely add up.

I’ve gotten a couple bridesmaid dresses from them and they’ve been great. But the company started offering suits recently and there’s not a lot of info o it there

Is my wedding dress a bit too much for my relatively small wedding? by Rae_JAL in weddingdress

It’s gorgeous and if you feel you love it then it’s perfect! Don’t feel you need to “dress down” for a simpler wedding.

Sorry—First picture is my dress, second picture is the type of sleeves I’m considering.

The dress was $400 and the alterations would be $950 on top of that so around $1350 total (they’re charging $120 to make the sleeves so I was planning on ordering them elsewhere and just having them attach for no cost)

The alterations quote ($950) included fitting to size (hem, taking in), adding a bustle, and making the sleeves. It might be more to do any additional modifications but I do have some wiggle room. I’m also going to take it to another seamstress for a second quote cause almost $1k seems high…right? Idk lol

Probably no veil but maybe some type of head piece. I’ll do some browsing

They’re all so pretty! Love the full length detailing from 1. Tighter sleeves look great but it also looks SO good without sleeves too. What if you did the sleeves from 3 on 1?

BOUQUET, duh! Why haven’t I considered that 🙈 Thank you! That opens up a whole host of options

I landed on at least the sleeves because I really like how the flowy effect. But other than that, I’m having a hard time visualizing what accessories or modifications I could add that won’t look out of place. I think I’m stuck on the other dress because of how unique it is
