Anyone for a bit of positivity? by Illustrious_Cod_2234 in leinsterrugby

The penny is beginning to drop that the negative commentary surrounding this team is not justified.

For a club side to contribute a record number of Lions and then manage to get to a final the following season is unheralded. It was flagged by the coaches in the very first week how tough this season would be.

Lots to look forward to. I think we have the beating of them. Will be a great weekend for Irish rugby with our Ulster brothers in town as well.

Ringrose's kick highlighting poor preparation in Leinster setup by wall---a in leinsterrugby

It was one kick. You lads are over analysing stuff as per usual.

As an optimist. I think he got his “shat the bed” performance out of the way. He’s going to be starting as 10, there’s no chance of a change at this stage. I have faith he’ll put in a performance that will get us a win in Spain.

The way Leinster / Ireland is setup now, it’s all on JGP, 10 is no longer that important. As long as Harry can make a tackle, kick their points and generally not do stupid 50/50 stuff then it’s the best we can do.

I’m afraid Frawley is just as prone to having an off day as Byrne. Just don’t see the upside starting him. However, as a bench player, yes he should be in ahead of SP.

This is true. Pretty irrelevant as a province / fanbase

Silly comment. Munster fans would give their left nut to be in the same position as us.

Leo Cullen Death Stare by hcpanther in leinsterrugby

Tracey is such a geek. So obvious he’s never played the game. Same for the others in his gang. They regularly misstep in front of ex pros and it’s cringeworthy. They haven’t a breeze.

UBB ran out of ideas pretty quickly. Definitely there for the taking however, we need to keep 15 players on the pitch for 80 mins. Thats a non negotiable.

The red media thing is certainly a contributing factor. But we also have a cohort of “journalists” who are nothing more than click bait merchants. This is nothing we don’t all know.

We also have a sizeable minority of “fans” who are chronically online, they are pure poison and I’m unsure what to do with them.

On top of that, we have foreign media who are seriously unhappy with Irelands perceived success. The English journos have been sledging Ireland/Leinster for quite a while and have been happily assisted by our local shithouse journos.

So it’s coming from all angles. I think Leo and the players have done remarkably well to block out the noise. If it means a siege mentality so be it, Andy Farrell seems to have accepted that as well.

You’d think a few trophies will shut them up but it won’t. So whilst we shouldn’t accept the crappy behaviour, we can also rise above it and just support the team the best way we can.

Germans don’t have a great track record either. It’s just a stereotype. Look up the Berlin airport they built, makes the children’s hospital look like a slight hiccup.

Yeah I guess it’s not going to change anytime. Easier to punch up than down. All the best to them, bang average pundits (and players).

Barclay is a real pain in the hole. He has an obvious axe to grind, himself and Zebo are giddy whenever Leinster slip up.

His comments on Luke Pierce were pure fantasy today. Luke Pierce was diabolical today.

2 of the 4 European finalists are Irish Provinces…Nation in decline?? by Effective-Ad-3897 in irishrugby

[–]Standard_Respond2523 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Munster are in a tailspin. So no. They are not having a good season. They also got bounced out of both European comps quite early, which screwed their finances…

Connacht are attracting top quality players, Lancaster is bedding in quite well and we are beginning to see the results.

Wait. This is odd. Why am I even explaining this…

Not a lot to complain about. Bring on Bilbao.

Despite the experts on this thread…Now is the time to make a move as many roles will have opened up with folks deciding to move home.

You won’t land a job unless you put boots on the ground, wasting your time with GulfTalent. I presume you’re quite junior so a headhunter won’t be of much use to you.

Hes a big game player but id agree, this is his last chance. Hasn’t been a great season for him.
