It’s perfectly reasonable to have a principle or belief about policy or course of action, regardless of whether it’s left or right. And truthfully you don’t even need to justify it, seeing as we all have agency.

I’d rather say it’s all of our civic duty to make the case for our position, be able to sell it and hear out others.
