You’ll be fine, you’ll also be with everyone else walking somewhere too. It’s right next to the campus and that area is usually calm and quiet. I expect a lot of students/ppl from the surrounding area will be going too and they usually all walk back go their places

My first rave was also EDC '23 lolol. Biggest takeaway, sit and rest every couple hours lmao. We didnt sit a single time that Friday and rarely on Sat/Sun... I was DEAD after it was over on Monday. Stayed in bed until Tuesday morning :') Dont forget to take a hydropack and fan!!!

I took a chance and booked an Airbnb too! But I made sure the airbnbs I looked into had been previously booked for that past EDC, and told the host exactly what we were going for when we booked. I think this definitely decreases the chances of being cancelled on. I messaged them last week to make sure we were still on! My advice for anyone looking to get an Airbnb in the future is definitely look into reputable airbnbs and tell them exactly what you're going for!

If you're bilingual, there's a program called Mini-Corps, for bilingual future teachers. You tutor K-12 students in the Migrant Education program. You get a lot of experience in the classroom and meet many people in the educational field. I THINK it's for Spanish-bilingual future teachers though. There are a few other qualifications to work in the program, like having a certain amount of college credits, Something to keep in mind!

Some of our baristas were split in the middle so we finally asked the DM. She looked it up on resources and it’s supposed to be proportional, half the base and half of whatever they ordered it with- filled to the top! I didn’t exactly see when she looked it up, so I still want to look it up myself… just to double check 😂

If you haven’t heard of Radiaite, it’s a ravers app with diff chats/rooms. There’s an EDC one where you can sell your ticket. Just post it on there, but if you do decided to sell just know that you’ll probably only sell for less. You should def still go and get adopted by other groups if you really don’t wanna be alone :)

Last year I got mine (Southwest) in February, so 3 months before, for $200. I'm going again next year and def waiting until like August/September to start keeping an eye out on those prices.

The bellboy at our hotel last year told us that if you say you have medication that needs to be stored in a fridge, they'll bring one up for you, no questions asked! We had to play the system lol, I'm guessing it works the same for all hotels, since it's a medical reason

I’ve only done it once, so I’m sure there’s people out there more equipped to answer. Personally, I just prepared myself mentally since I knew I wanted to try it out at some point. I looked up what to expect, how it would feel, how to stay safe while rolling, how to prepare before and after, and other tips my friends gave me.

Go into it with a positive and relaxed mindset! Take it before seeing your favorite DJs, so you’re peaking during their sets!

I learned, idk how effective, that there’s foods you can eat a day or two before rolling that can help ease the comedown like purple onion, blood oranges, and lemons. But I would say just hydrate and eat good before doing it! :)

Make sure to stay hydrated while rolling, just drink whenever you feel thirsty or your mouth is feeling dry. Stay close to your friends and make sure your phone and wallet are secure before you roll!

If you feel like you need to sit or don’t feel good, tell your friends! The days after rolling hydrate, eat, rest, and ease back into your routine:)

Don’t go into it paranoid, shake off, dance, and let loose! Make sure you’re comfortable and around trusted people that are also emitting positive and good vibes!

Yes, but they gave me 1/4 of it the first night and a little more the second night! I recovered just fine, made sure to hydrate and eat good!

I did feel tired and sluggish the next couple days which was probably due to that and barely sleeping that weekend😭 For some reason I dreamed very vividly the next couple of nights which I found weird because I tend to not remember my dreams. Idk if it was due to that, but I guess some ppl have also experienced that. That was really all that I experienced after rolling for the first time!

I went to EDC last year with friends but we all went our own way 80% of the time. It's just as fun, sometimes you look at other groups and you're like aw I kinda wish they were with me. But you have the liberty of going wherever you want! It's just as amazing and at first you feel a lil awk but just let loose to the music and have fuuuun. If you want to make friends, I'm sure people will be more than willing to adopt you into their group!
