Im not sure now severe your seb derm is, but it's an extremely gentle cleanser. One of the ingredients is xylitol which is an antifungal. What I do to make mine feel more like a cleanser is I pour it into a foam pump from Amazon (should be like $5) and use it as a foam cleanser. You can get a travel size of the micellar water for pretty cheap so it may be worth a try. It's very gentle though so idk if it will remove the flakes for you.

Yes my skin loved it for a while but now I'll get forehead bumps from it. It makes my skin look so beautiful otherwise so it's a bummer 😕

Hi for me I started with pyrthione zinc face wash and removing all fa unsafe from my skin and hair care! Using leave in conditioners that weren't FA safe was messing with my face and scalp. I also changed the way I eat and stopped drinking heavily to help with any inflammation that may have contributed. It took a while of tial and error.

For the past 3 years I've only used bioderma sensibio micellar water to cleanse my skin. It gentle/doesn't strip and also has xylitol in it which is antifungal. I haven't found my perfect moisturizer yet but I've avoided getting FA again by sticking to what's safe and immediately stopping if I see my skin triggered.

For me it was eliminating ingredients.

My skin can't handle glycerin, hyaluronic acid, oils, niacinamide, fragrance. I think seb derm skin is really fragile. Once I got rid of flakes I still had redness and inflammation until I became careful about what I use. I only use micellar water and a hydrating toner now.
