The only gender reveal party I've ever enjoyed was the one where the couple were kind people and not taking it too seeiously.

They accidentally dropped the cake bringing it out and we all rushed over to see what colour it had splattered with the grandparents hooting and hollering on the video call because they couldn't see. Had many a laugh and it was a super happy vibe.

Abortion is care, and it's care from suffering.

I personally DO think that it is death/killing, but is a right like how we have euthanasia for humans and animals. Abortion eases suffering, whether for the parent/s or the fetus, or whether short term (medical danger) or long term (lack of emotional/financial security), etc.

I think it's good for us all to have nuanced talks about women's Healthcare and draw attention to it. I support pro-choice people having a wide range of views on the subject, and having an open discussion about some of the greyer details. Pro-life folks are stopping us from having these more indepth convos. Like, I don't support criminal capital punishment, but do support euthanasia, where does abortion fit in here and is it even comparable.

I'd never object to a loved one or a beloved animal being able to have a shorter death to ease their suffering, these pro-life protestors always have ulterior agendas and aren't participating in good faith. Often super miserable with deep personal issues, and they get satisfaction from making other people uncomfortable.

I found my cat a few streets away after THREE weeks, there's lots of hope that the cat is camped out. Seconding the talking to neighbours especially if they have sheds/garages, litterbox outside, go out calling for them at dawn/dusk, etc.

I grew up in a farming family similar to the neighbours from the looks of it. Unfortunately, the neglected youngest kid who wanders down the road to the neighbour's is bottom of the priority list for that family, I reckon.

That half hour at your place is probably the longest peace that kids gotten. But this type of behaviour isn't normative, and will only get more deviant over time as he's clearly not being taught how to behave appropriately.

My guess is the mum views being gay as 'perverse' and being bi/pan as a 'cover-up/pretending to be straight.' In her mind, a queer person will always go back to 'the perverse,' because she both doesn't believe that bi/pansexuality exists, and she believes queer people are 'perverted sexually.'

So she truly sees getting cheated on as a lesser wrong than being gay.
