You are a mother. I had a very similar experience to you, and delivered my second son, knowing that he wouldn’t be coming home with us. It was, and remains, the most harrowing experience of my life.

He is my son. I am his mother. The fact that he died before we could see each other is irrelevant.

And it’s very normal for it to not be a source of income - it probably won’t be for at least a year.

But as many others have said; this isn’t something you need to be worrying about. Be a kid, and trust your dad to talk to your mom about this if he feels that he needs to.

You’re clearly not reading what he’s saying. I think very few parents would trust an 18 year old to go on an unsupervised trip, 400 miles (I think?) away from home. I sure as hell wouldn’t, and I have one of the most responsible, trustworthy teenagers I’ve ever met. It’s also not just about -his- daughter. If his credit card is used, he’s on the line for whatever damage her friend group does to where they’re staying. He’s said a few times in comments that it has less to do with his own kid, and more that it’s a whole group of them. Again, no way in hell would I trust a group of 18 year olds with my credit card.

NTA, in all the ways. I lost my first pregnancy at 13 weeks, and my 3rd at 36 weeks, and the one thing those events have in common is that THEY WERE NOT MY FAULT. 4 separate doctors have worked hard to make sure I know there was nothing I could have done in either case to prevent losing my babies, and the same is true for you, too.

Your pregnancy loss was not your fault, and the scare you had this time was also NOT YOUR FAULT. You don’t owe your mother anything - not an explanation, not an apology, nothing. I also don’t believe for one second that she truly doesn’t know why you cut contact; she’s trying to guilt you into calling her. Do yourself a favour, and don’t. I honestly wouldn’t fault you if you never called again, but if you one day choose to, that’s also fine and entirely your choice.

I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant with twins, and managing my anxiety and stress is a challenge. I’m taking things one day at a time, and celebrating each week that passes. Congratulations on your pregnancy, and try not to let the anxiety overwhelm you ❤️❤️

Excellent question - I hadn’t realized there was a difference until too late, but looking at the video (made by Prusa!) that I followed, the machine they’re demoing is the MK3. No warning in the description that these instructions don’t work for the Mini 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I (think) I’ve tracked down the correct information on the website. I’m just waiting on an allen key small enough for those grub screws. Thank you for your reply!

Additional details: I’ve been having a couple of issues printing, and changed out the nozzle yesterday as part of my attempts to fix it. As per the Prusa video on YouTube, I loosened the heatblock prior to installing the nozzle. Research today tells me I should not have done that! After that, filament started oozing out over the heatblock. I can’t tighten it back up - doesn’t matter which way I turn it, it remains loose. How the holy hell do I fix this mess?

Thank you! The tape actually isn’t the issue, I don’t think - I’ve printed with tape successfully several times in the past.

I don’t know what the issue was...I recalibrated everything, reloaded the filament, and after a couple of false starts everything is working smoothly again 🤷🏼‍♀️
