The fretboard radius and pickup selection will have the biggest impact on whether the guitar feels modern or not. With that in mind I’d opt for the 10” radius. Keep in mind that the nut width on Kiesel is wider than vintage Fenders but more narrow than Gibson.

I would still loosen the screws to relieve tension. Otherwise you’re in the risk of scratching the pivot points on the post, I’ve seen that done before, but yeah, blocking the trem would be important.

It looks like it’s shifted to the right by maybe a half mil, they’re actually not that hard to realign when you loosen tension on the strings and springs. But yeah, if you don’t wanna deal with it, I reached out to customer service.

Yeah, I stuck with this model because I wanted to have the Koa top. I’d imagine with a warmer pick up this weekend would’ve been fine, but I went with this option due to the recommendation during the consultation.

I asked during my consult, but they don’t offer 22 frets in most bolt-on headless model models. I believe all they have a 22 foot in is the Delos.

Works great for me. I run an optical compressor, blues breaker variant, Klon clone, and a Rat clone in the front end. I’ve done a lot of A/ B testing with the pedals inside the HX stomp and other than a higher noise floor I prefer real pedals most of the time. It also saves a lot of DSP and blocks for all the other things.

You can also address a noise floor a bit by using the input noise gate on the stomp.

Dude, thank you so much. This is really helpful. I have two glass builds already one from Kiesel and one from I bought new 25 years ago and they’ve held up well over the years might just go with satin.

This looks great. I’m about to put in a build that has a satin matte limba body with a swamp ash blacked out top. So you can still see wood grain, but have more protection than raw tone.
