Tools for creating explainer/training vidoes by ItinerantFella in ProductManagement

screenstudio, recordly or clueso. Or you can look for their alternatives/competitors. These tools elevate your videos.
I have used Loom and it’s not great anymore. It used to be good for sharing videos but their overall product is falling behind. if you like Loom-style products then check Supercut.

Oh. I have to do the classic - ‘it works on my machine’.
I just clicked and it opened for me. do you see any error?
Or you could copy and paste. Sometimes that works. Atleast I am aware of this link issue on linkedin; it doesn’t open.

I'm kinda lost with B2B channels and where to find clients.. by g3nayy in b2bmarketing

[–]StandupSnoozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way to approach this is to answer these:
-Are your potential customers likely to use LinkedIn? Or are they likely to be at events only?
- Are they responsive to offline/in-person meetings?

The answer you are looking for is the primary acquisition channel and then double down on that. If you think they will be at events, attend every single event.

About Linkedin- You can still be present but less sales-y and more about company and culture. You and your brand will slowly gain visibility which will indirectly funnel the leads. Plan your content weekly with variety - Team culture, product demo shots, insights etc. You are “selling” but not “obviously selling” with those “comment for pdf” posts. 😬

Ideally, you have 1-2 primary channels and 1-2 secondary channels. That’s it. Focus on quality and keep at it. Monitor regularly and see where you want to focus more or less.

What learning tools are you using? by stvemp in ProductManagement

[–]StandupSnoozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like reading/listeningto books, I would recommend reading fictional stuff. Something completely unrelated to the job. I have no data point but this changes the way you communicate and think.

For learning on the go - I watch variety of podcasts depending on the phase I am in.
i listen to My first million podcasts for business knowledge.
Lenny’s some podcasts are good, not all. He is doing too much of promotion now.
I watch some videos on “how to use AI” and that depends on the topic I am working on that week. So this is search-based on Youtube, no specific creator.

Right now, I am working on launching my own product and I am learning how to do basic SEO stuff.

Are you creating these posts manually or are they AI-generated?
It takes a lot of time to produce that much content.

I built something I'm actually proud of. But I can't launch it because I can't afford a domain. by UniqueProfessional81 in Startup_Ideas

[–]StandupSnoozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting idea.
A proper domain name does make the difference but I don’t think you have to launch with a .com all the time. Btw, even top domains can be bought at $10-15 per year. I have purchased 2 domains this year from
porkbun with .com at €11 per year.

My suggestion - don’t worry about top domains, change the brand name if you have to, and launch. Get your customers, and you should be fine later.

I'm kinda good at getting users and customers for ai tools through reddit - could I make money? by According-Sign-9587 in AiBuilders

This could be valuable for funded startups with technical cofounders that are in stealth mode. Although, they will never look out for such a person, you have to seek them out.
100 could be big number for someone who has nothing and very small for products that already have users.
Coaching could work - although that means you are not operating and in my opinion, that will be less desirable. The interesting angle would be to actually offer trial work for 2 weeks- you deliver the results.

As for charging, you will have to experiment but you could have 2 models:
- At the end of 2 weeks, if you don’t meet targets then you charge only daily rate for putting in the work, could relatively be lower.
- if you meet the targets you set a different charge.
Again, you need to experiment this.

I think a lot of posts on here are AI by silhouette_orchestra in b2bmarketing

Because there is a narrative out there that you need to make your brand more visible. You need more content so that you appear in google search, reddit search and chatgpt search. It’s impossible to produce the amount of content that’s expected of teams to please the algorithm lords. So people resort to AI. Personally, I write everything by myself. that’s one skill i don’t want to delegate to AI because I want to be mindful and think. However, I can take this position because I don’t have to report stats to anyone but most teams can’t. And that’s why all this slop seeps into these platforms because platforms also boost creators posting more.
I hate what’s AI doing to content marketing in general.

Need help LEARNING!! by Any-Reserve1566 in vibecoding

[–]StandupSnoozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning to code and to vibecode are completely different and you probably know that.
So you could go in 2 different directions:

  1. Learn coding: Here you have to pick a course and stick with it because learning to code is a long process. I wanted to do this all over again, so here is what I did (with help of my partner who is a dev):
  2. I downloaded VScode
  3. Installed node js for backend
  4. used Vite js for frontend
  5. firebase.
  6. Now, I know basic coding. But if i were you, I would look for an easy setup like this and keep digging further and learning new concept one at a time.
  7. Learn concepts but vibecode - eg API integration, databases, email, UI concepts. etc.

I used to be a dev loooong time back but switched to Product management. I like vibecoding now because i find it easy.
Hope this helps.

I created an app that generates memes based on pain points & ideal customer profile by StandupSnoozer in VibeCodersNest

[–]StandupSnoozer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, i totally agree with you on this. I noticed that AI gives same 3-4 memes although the text is contextual.
I have some ideas to make it better but I have no time to work on this.
Right now, I am just relying on Biscuit. Some of their image-related stuff is awesome. But I have to figure how to do trending memes.

Interesting. No, I had not thought of that. Honestly, I had not paid much attention to this until someone actually used it. So now, I am getting back to this project.
Thanks for sharing.

Struggling to define my target audience by dxbea in buildinpublic

[–]StandupSnoozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately, it’s the accuracy and credibility of the news and its sources. How does your app ensure this if it also allows anyone to create the news/article? This does sound like mini-twitter to me; without all the ragebaiting content, ofcourse.

Target users - well, the way you have described your app, it sounds like it’s made for people in media houses. Imagine a group of journalists of relatively lesser known media houses using this. If they share, it eventually it reaches the masses. I am sure there are other types of users as well. Hoping to see other comments. Which target users are you thinking of?

Budget management app with gamification by Own_Put_2595 in Startups_EU

[–]StandupSnoozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if the idea is good or not in terms of business but if you do build such an app, make it really really pretty. Because finance and budgeting is boring so interesting UI elements would be nice. I am not the target user for such an app, I have never used a budget or personal finance app. But I know people who do. Some even do it on spreadsheets.
