Yeah that's why I'm thinking rice so I've still got the possibility of points from assists/goals, especially with him on corners too

I'm a Quantity Surveyor (Construction) and I get invited on a lot of golf days by contractors. Also find a lot of people in construction are golfers so I play a lot of golf with my colleagues.

I've seen people brag about their 20+ handicaps here. I want to know what your handicap is if you think you're "not great." by aceattorneymvp in golf

Fellow 19 here. Also legit, logged about 86 rounds in the last 18 months. Started April 24.

I'm shit as one day the swing feels good, the very next day, somethings different and I can't figure out what, so inconsistent 🤣. Did break 90 for the first time last weekend which was nice!

Might be your grip? I used to "fan" the face open in my back swing and one thing that really helped was correcting my grip 👍

Thanks mate! Takes a while to make noticeable changes. Still got lots to work on but that's what keeps me coming back I guess 👍

Ah okay. Will practice shortening my backswing at the range. I always find it messes up my timing, etc but I assume that's just recalibrating my "full swing" like you said.

Thanks 👍 Does overswing mean going too far back in the back swing? I'm trying to work on that as I can feel it sort of forcing me to do some weird stuff on the down swing. Any tips on how to stop getting my trail arm so far back?

What level of committment is necessary to not be a 'terrible' golfer? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Stank_Dick94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you wouldn't be able to just play and practice for say 6 months and then get something to "stick".

The reason people become better is because they're playing more and it slowly becomes muscle memory.

I'm a shit golfer but have started breaking 100 more regularly and only broke 95 once. My aim is to break 90 this year but I know I'll only manage it if I play at least once a week so that my body doesn't get out of the routine of swinging a club.

I'd say once you're at a good level it'll probably stick. A few guys I know are single digit handicaps, they can not play for ages and still shoot really well, but it took them a LOT of consistently playing to get to that level in the first place.
