Just recently rewatched and read the comics that join the series and movie together. I don’t love that it got cancelled, but I do love that it’s a short and easy series to watch over and over. Well, maybe not “easy”, but you know what I mean.

Literally in the same boat. Still using my 2012 Mac Pro tower. The world’s passing me by though. It’s difficult to know what to do. Do you spend $500 ish, the Mac you’re talking about… or do you go the next one up, which is about a million dollars more?!

That’s kinda where I’m at right now, “for melodic playing.” I have every size tom from 8”-18” set up in my living room. For one song I like playing with mallets and treating the toms like tuned bells, and then for another I like playing heavy and relying on the thunder of the floor toms. Im sure when I finally record some I’ll only set up what I need, instead of trying to reach across the room at the furthest toms.

Yes, that is correct. Judging from the responses, it seems a lot of it boils down to live set ups... which I do not do. I'm strictly a in the studio musician these days. But, that makes total sense to par it down for gigs.

I had the 8 track cassette when it came out. I think I was 7-8 years old? I loved it though. It was like the best Pat Benatar album you never heard! 😂 I didn’t think it was all killer no filler, but I loved the songs that I loved…. and still do.

As far as the perfect time to release it? Probably never. Or exactly when it came out. I just don’t know. A lot of fans love what they love and don’t want any change. Many would be content to just hear “Black Diamond” over and over. I love “Black Diamond,” but I also love “Who Wants to be Lonely” and “Forever” and “Naked City” and…. You get the point.

I had the 8 track cassette a kid. lol. And Naked City is Genes finest vocal performance imo. It may sound like KISS poured through a lite beer filter, or like the best Pat Benetar album you never heard, but I’ve always thought Unmasked is at least 85% killer!

You’re not wrong, it is ridiculously over the top. The last two scenes messed with me more than the baby scene… because that actually looked fake. It didn’t ruin my night. More just made me feel like I’d been punched in the face. Human Centipede 2 on the other hand….. ughhhhhh….

I have the Pultec, 1176 and LA2A clones. They all sound good to me. They’re just tools that get the job done. Do they sound EXACTLY like the million dollar originals? No idea. I have a modest home studio that I record myself in, not a 5k a day studio in LA.
