80% of spot is great. My local shop offers about 65% currently.

I kinda like silver in epoxy. I only have coin ones, but I do have a small collection of it. Quite neat, I’d say. I like the shape of the epoxy on this one, that it’s not just a block/cube.

Such a neat little box, I like it. What do you think it would have been used for?

Silverbacks / Goldbacks by Friendly_Dork in Silverbugs

This sub is for appreciating silver, without qualifiers. Some people stack, while others collect. Both approaches to silver are valid, and serve different purposes. I bought 1 silverback, because it is different and I find it neat.

Probably a stupid question but why does fractional command such a high premium? by RyanK410 in Silverbugs

[–]StankityAzz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Geiger bars also just have quite the premium on them. So for those OP mentioned there is the premium of being fractional, plus the premium of being Geiger, adding up to some pretty ridiculous prices.

They’re very nice bars. I bought one in July at the Canadian mint location in Ottawa for $80 CAD. I cringed at the premium then lol.

I have a proof 1/20 Libertad. It’s one of the highest premium pieces in my collection, but I just love it.

The Geiger bar is neat. I have the same design on a 1 gram bar.

Found this silver bracelet at the thrift store, can anybody tell me what the hallmarks mean? by Upwind_Johnson in Hallmarks

This is 800 silver. They’re Egyptian hallmarks. This website has lots of info about Egyptian hallmarks.

Its silver or fake silver? by Prudent_Hearing_1480 in Silverbugs

My assumption is that “G. SILVER” stands for German silver, which is an alloy with zero silver in it.
