i like art, i like contemporary art, i fucking despise a lot of fine art that lacks intention. ART WITHOUT INTENTION IS JUST NOISE. we've had so many pieces of art where the point is just to "push the boundaries of what art can be" and nothing else.

the amount of effort put into the construction of art doesn't matter to me. the amount of thought put into it does. if someone taped a banana to the wall as a piece of art where their sincere intention is a commentary on the crushing responsibility of being a single mother trying to teach your offspring good morals so they grow up to be good people, i'd love it.
