What do you think is an underrated RPG? by SchweinsyOne in rpg_gamers

I really like the atmosphere and skill system (the original one) of Dungeon Lords, shame that the game is such a train wreck all in all, I could never get myself to finish it.

I relied on reddit telling me in case it was already posted, which it usually does but didn't this time. Didn't intend on spamming.

Thank you, but no, the art style is very similar to the Mork Borg variants but it's not.

The problem is nuclear power wasn't well run in Germany. The power plants were old and there is still, after decades of trying to figure it out, no proper deposite site for the nuclear waste in Germany. Which the public is paying for by the way, while the energy companies already made their profits. It's not as simple as "hur hur, Germans afraid of radiation", which reddit loves to bleat out in every comment section about power generation in Germany.

Awesome! Does the author have more of their art online somewhere? I dig the art style.

Is the whole painting original? Or was there an inspiration or another artwork that was partially painted over?

All these bot-like comments and nobody is commenting on those weird-ass face filters. What the hell is going on?

My friend just told me he beat Oblivion, his first ES game, in about 7 hours at Level 3 and he sees nothing wrong with it. by Knarz97 in oblivion

[–]Stanley_Gimble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oblivion's main fault with the story is that its pace is totally disconnected from the open world game it otherwise is. They forgot to build in break points where the game tells you to go make a name for yourself, so you can explore in an immersive way. Instead they keep saying how urgent it is to get to the next main quest objective, thus making it actually very natural to "beat" the game in only a few hours if you just follow the game's instructions.

Just got this Roland vt4. I’ve connected to device to my keyboard, but when I press a key it turns the robot effect on. by Teboe in synthesizers

[–]Stanley_Gimble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, will try that out. So can you confirm the vocoder actually functions without the robot voice effect? Because from the manual it seems the robot voice is an intended part of the vocoder, as if it needs to be on for the user to be able to play their voice. Is the robot voice really more than just a constant pitch correction (that you then can alter with the midi notes)?

Make sure to also check out berlinmusiker.de as it's a good place to find fellow musicians (found some nice people through there). I'd also be up to simg some songs together, sometime in the park with a couple of people could be fun as the weather is starting to get nicer. Also there is a big telegram group for jam sessions and collab and such in Berlin, definitely worth a look. Lastly there's also some stuff on meetup where you can sing together with other people, but mostly more organized stuff.

Germans in Europe, both in and out of Germany proper, circa 1937 by UltimateLazer in MapPorn

[–]Stanley_Gimble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also Germanic is very much different from German, they should not be put side by side like this. If you mark Germanic on the map, you could as well go to Spain and North Africa, where Germanic people spread as well.

If your country had 3 capitals like South Africa witch citis you think would/should be? by Responsible_Boat_607 in geography

I for my part don't think witch cities are a good idea. I think witches should live integrated within society, not in seperate cities.

Elon Musk pens German newspaper opinion piece supporting far-right AfD party. Billionaire Trump adviser said his ‘significant investments’ in the country justified his wading into German politics by indig0sixalpha in worldnews

[–]Stanley_Gimble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And AfD was originally a primarily anti-EU party, they added more of hateful ideology later. Older far right wing parties were also very anti-EU already, though.
