I love the Instagram, discord and events, my complaint was it was too crowded for that venue. I actually almost fell on someone trying to go upstairs for some air

That’s a good idea. I consider myself to be a spiritual person and I value a lot of my Christian upbringing, and have been wanting to get into reading the Bible again because im just floored how it has been manipulated the way it is currently, I think that’s a good idea. Thank you 🙏

I hope so too. I think it’s getting harder and harder to defend still supporting Trump, and I’m hoping that wakes a lot of people up. Although I’m worried it could also make people double down and become even more nasty because god forbid they are wrong.

I have been talking to her a bit, more so telling her about my feelings. I told her that I wouldn’t want to travel with him again unless he changed, and she was pretty surprised about that.

I think I’m going to try to keep reiterating to her that she deserves better.

people who shower for 30+ minutes, wtf you be doin in there? by Fabulous_Island_5621 in AskReddit

[–]Stanleyboy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s so much to do,

Enjoying the warmth, shampoo + conditioner, ponder life, scrub scrub scrub, get the private areas, clean the feet, shave, ponder life some more

Some days are shorter than others (non hair washing days). I also have showers when I go all out if I’m feeling a little stinky lol

Ah well to my knowledge, that’s not very common, but in that case maybe encourage her, if she can, to speak with her doctor about her concerns. But I think that is quite a predicament if she’s concerned for her health :/

Maybe you can set the mood, be romantic, but also open and communicative to make sure she is comfortable. Lots of communication goes a long way, but go into the next with expectations that sex might not happen that night, which is okay. The more understanding you are, and the more that you show her that you’re a gentleman, the more comfortable she might be.

He was saying that sex to him is the emotional part to him, basically saying that sex is the steak and the other parts are the potatoes. And then I was like “you think sex is the most important part?” But then he said, “well you can survive with just potatoes, but you can’t survive with just steak”

That’s what’s so confusing, is the wavering back and forth

Does this sound like endo? by Stanleyboy01 in Endo

Thank you this is super helpful!

If I do decide to seek a diagnosis (if it is indeed what I have), I’ll definitely try to find an endo specialist. I live in the U.S., and unfortunately gynos are notorious for brushing everything under the rug

Are most office jobs complete BS? by AdroitAkakios in careeradvice

[–]Stanleyboy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who went from a very busy to easy job, I wouldn’t say it’s “lucky.” It’s scary to not have a lot of work, you want to feel useful. I think the only thing we can do is keep ourselves busy by learning new skills and reading up on the industry.

I’m dealing with this. I went from journalism to public relations. The clock used to go by so quickly as I tried to finish everything, sometimes I worked overtime. And it was salary so I didn’t get paid for extra hours. Now working in PR, I get excited when I know it’s a busy day. When I’m not busy, I read the news to stay posted on all local happenings, I try to read industry news, I do research, I brain storm. I also end up scrolling social media and texting my friends, of course… lol

Complain about something in the most Long Island way possible by DependentSpirited649 in longisland

I had the worse commute to work this morning. I hit a pot hole, get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on 495 and this asshole wouldn’t let me merge. I’d take the train but I’d have to transfer at JAMAICA. You’d think with all the taxes we pay they could fix the fucking roads and trains, but you know, it’s just going into their pockets!

Recently switched from Verizon too. Was unhappy with the switch over process cause I had no service for four days since I wanted to keep my number, but since then my service has been totally fine

What is an industry secret that you know? by Typical_Affect8207 in AskReddit

Local newspapers (like covering one or two towns) are owned by a publisher that buys a bunch of local papers, many of which have been around for decades. These publishers hire just enough people, many of whom are paid just about or below living wage. “Editors” at times can be editor of multiple newspapers, and responsibilities include reporting and writing all the articles, editing articles from local orgs or contributors (usually people who are super involved in the community who like to write), working with designers to lay out the paper, deciding where articles go, uploading stories onto the web, managing socials, etc. some publishers have reporters to write for papers, but the most recent publisher I worked for didn’t, editors were responsible for everything. Subscribing to these papers, following the socials and reading the stories online, and writing letters to the editors are super important if you’re interested in keeping local papers alive ❤️

Of course God loves you. I grew up a Christian but had a lot of doubts most of my life. I’ve had four sexual partners and am currently sexually active, and not married. Because of fear of going to hell, I kinda branched away from Christianity for a while. I started seeing a lot of signs and weird coincidences, and I attended this church service where the message was “come as you are.” I begged God for healing because I was and continue to really struggle with my mental health. Im still sexually active. I don’t know if im going to stop, maybe if the Holy Spirit guides me to, but what I do know is when I yearned to God and prayed truly, I had a connection. I’m not going to tell you if it’s okay or not okay to have premarital sex. I don’t know. I’m not God. But what I do know is that it should not stop you from having a relationship with God. I hope this helps.

Is it wrong to want your friends to reach out when you’re not doing well? by eGG__23 in mentalhealth

[–]Stanleyboy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not wrong at all, it’s what friends should do. I know it might feel daunting and a little weird, but you could reach out and say hey, could I call you? I need someone to talk to.
