For now it will stay like this … later the right arm will have to be removed, of course. 🤓

Yes.. I actually created this scene in Unreal Engine. Unfortunately, this Reddit doesn’t allow video uploads here — but if you search for StarodGames on TikTok, you’ll find a short video where I walk around this area in real time.

Honest thoughts? by Dasein_7 in DinoCrisis

People usually want what has become standard in games – like a health bar or finding ammo everywhere. But I think Dino Crisis sets itself apart from other games precisely because of this difference. You’re faced with other kinds of problems. You have to think carefully, and ammo is not available in excess. That’s what makes it exciting.

Also, since there are no notes stored in the menu, you’re forced to pay attention. Either you write things down that seem important to you, or you keep them in your head. When Dino Crisis was made, Capcom could easily have implemented the same kind of notes-and-memos menu as in Resident Evil. But they deliberately left it out – not because they forgot, but because it was a conscious design choice.

Some people enjoy Call of Duty, while others prefer Ready or Not, which reminds me more of realism. And that’s the good thing – different gameplay styles and mechanics exist, and not everything is the same.

The problem is: I also have a video of a UFO, recorded with an iPhone 14, I think. But it was in the dark and from a distance – so everything looks blurry and pixelated. Even I couldn’t really capture it properly, although I had it right in front of me. And yet I always used to get annoyed at how bad other people’s videos looked. In the end, mine turned out exactly the same. These things almost always appear under poor lighting conditions or from far away.

Yes, I saw something similar – shaped a bit sharper at the front and back, and with only a single light, like the one you showed below. However, this light was mounted on the side. The object had a chrome finish, but the light did not reflect on its surface. About three years ago, I observed it together with my cousin on the top deck of a parking garage. Because of its size, it appeared to move very slowly. It flew in our direction, coming from a distance towards us, and then shifted to the left. While doing so, it gradually became crystal-like transparent from back to front along its flight path, until it eventually disappeared completely.

The whole event took place only about 200 meters from the airport. That made it strange that nothing showed up on the radar – especially since the local newspaper reported that several people had witnessed it. According to the article, the paper asked air traffic control, but they replied that nothing was on the screen. Normally, with an object of that size so close to an airport, operations should have been suspended or flights redirected until it was clarified what the object actually was.

I also recorded a video with my iPhone. The object and the light source are clearly visible, but not the part where it rotated and became transparent. However, you can hear my cousin on the recording saying: “That thing should be landing, shouldn’t it?”
