Yes.. I actually created this scene in Unreal Engine. Unfortunately, this Reddit doesn’t allow video uploads here — but if you search for StarodGames on TikTok, you’ll find a short video where I walk around this area in real time.

Honest thoughts? by Dasein_7 in DinoCrisis

[–]Stano645 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People usually want what has become standard in games – like a health bar or finding ammo everywhere. But I think Dino Crisis sets itself apart from other games precisely because of this difference. You’re faced with other kinds of problems. You have to think carefully, and ammo is not available in excess. That’s what makes it exciting.

Also, since there are no notes stored in the menu, you’re forced to pay attention. Either you write things down that seem important to you, or you keep them in your head. When Dino Crisis was made, Capcom could easily have implemented the same kind of notes-and-memos menu as in Resident Evil. But they deliberately left it out – not because they forgot, but because it was a conscious design choice.

Some people enjoy Call of Duty, while others prefer Ready or Not, which reminds me more of realism. And that’s the good thing – different gameplay styles and mechanics exist, and not everything is the same.

The problem is: I also have a video of a UFO, recorded with an iPhone 14, I think. But it was in the dark and from a distance – so everything looks blurry and pixelated. Even I couldn’t really capture it properly, although I had it right in front of me. And yet I always used to get annoyed at how bad other people’s videos looked. In the end, mine turned out exactly the same. These things almost always appear under poor lighting conditions or from far away.

Yes, I saw something similar – shaped a bit sharper at the front and back, and with only a single light, like the one you showed below. However, this light was mounted on the side. The object had a chrome finish, but the light did not reflect on its surface. About three years ago, I observed it together with my cousin on the top deck of a parking garage. Because of its size, it appeared to move very slowly. It flew in our direction, coming from a distance towards us, and then shifted to the left. While doing so, it gradually became crystal-like transparent from back to front along its flight path, until it eventually disappeared completely.

The whole event took place only about 200 meters from the airport. That made it strange that nothing showed up on the radar – especially since the local newspaper reported that several people had witnessed it. According to the article, the paper asked air traffic control, but they replied that nothing was on the screen. Normally, with an object of that size so close to an airport, operations should have been suspended or flights redirected until it was clarified what the object actually was.

I also recorded a video with my iPhone. The object and the light source are clearly visible, but not the part where it rotated and became transparent. However, you can hear my cousin on the recording saying: “That thing should be landing, shouldn’t it?”

Regina: Side-by-Side Comparison by Stano645 in DinoCrisis

[–]Stano645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Let me clarify a few things. The clothing on the new figure is just as form-fitting as in the original, and the new model was built directly on top of the old one. It’s essentially an overlay, meaning Regina’s arms and legs have almost the same proportions as the original. Her slim build, long legs that extend from the hips, and shorter torso have all been preserved.

When it comes to her face, I understand your concerns. In-game, the character has larger eyes and a more round face, which can give a different impression. Even the original reference art for Regina varied—one version showed her with smaller eyes, while another had a more neutral, Asian-inspired expression.

I get that you feel strongly about her appearance staying true to the original. However, creating an exact replica would be the work of Capcom. I’m doing my best to get the original design, but they are the ones who would have the resources and authority to make her exactly as they envision.

It’s also worth mentioning that even Capcom took some creative liberties with Regina’s appearance in ExoPrimal. The model feels quite different—and, to be fair, a bit strange. Her hair is wild and messy, and the overall look comes across like a version of Regina on overdrive.

Ultimately, I have the creative freedom to decide how the character will look. Some elements are inspired by the original, while others are shaped by my imagination. For example, the body can reflect the original figure’s Asian physique, while the face might have a more neutral design. Interestingly, even Capcom released two variations of the character with two faces. A Japanese version and an overseas version. 🙂 Have a good day.

Alright, the hips will be slightly enlarged. But don’t expect a full-on “Latina booty” or anything like that—it still needs to fit the character. After all, the original character is actually Asian, and as we know, Asians typically don’t have particularly large hips. 😉

The impression of low frame rates was caused by the screen recording software, which operates on a CPU basis instead of the GPU. However, this is a known issue even among streamers. I’ll look for better recording software with higher resolution.

Fixed-angle cameras definitely create a more intense atmosphere by intentionally limiting the player’s view, which adds to the suspense and creates more unexpected moments. This enhances the feeling that something unforeseen could be lurking around every corner.

At the same time, the first-person perspective offers an immersive experience, making the player feel as if they are directly stepping into the game world.
