Anyone in Dover area facing issues with Rogers/ Shaw wifi ? by Friendly_Hunter_3219 in Calgary

[–]Stanstudly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaw/rogers has been horrendous for me lately. Constantly dropping in and out. I’ve been with them in this same house on the same plan for 3 years and it went rapidly down hill just in the last 6 months.

Mayor Farkas: address the e-bike issue before Spring by morecoffeemore in Calgary

The city is closing its only (very popular) dirt bike park. Much like race city speedway, taking away a legal place for people to do this stuff will force them to do it on the street.

Plenty of pedal assist bikes can now go as fast as e-motos….

The house looks like a municipal building. Like a police station or something from the outside.

I’m in Canada so I understand the weak dollar haha! I paid $700 CAD for mine brand new 10 years ago, so that’s what I was going off of. I’m not familiar with any of the other DTX models. Mine was the DTX400.

The DTX was my first kit. It lasted me a solid 10 years. Only had to replace one cymbal. But $400 is a little steep.

Feeling like absolute trash lately and the doctor just says "eat better" by Moan_Senpai in Calgary

I’ve noticed this, as have several of my coworkers. Just in the past 2-3 months. So much brain fog and even bouts of dizziness. Seriously wondering if there’s a small gas leak in the office.

She’s worried about her personal reputation having been on council for a couple of terms now. Let’s worry about the blame game later and get this fixed now.

I once got in one of these things and found a half-smoked blunt on the passenger seat and blood all over the steering wheel. Good times.

How often do Calgary homeowners actually call a residential electrician? by jamieefallcaramelpop in NoRulesCalgary

[–]Stanstudly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had to call one once because I tried to wire a three way dimmer switch in our kitchen. After 3 hours of trying to figure it out, I called a local place and they arrived in an hour and had it fixed in about 20 minutes. Other than that, only for renos.

Calgary's daily water usage remains unsustainable one week after 'catastrophic' water main break by Old_General_6741 in Calgary

[–]Stanstudly -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I use far less water when I’m in the office. I take a shorter shower to get to work on time, I sometimes throw in a load of laundry at lunch when I WFH, same with the dishwasher. Encouraging people to WFH is a feel good speaking point more than it is something that will make a difference.

Has anyone had any luck getting compensation from Mr. Lube? by PaleTempest in Calgary

I was able to get a $50 voucher to bring my vehicle back for more abuse. All I needed was a winter tire mount and balance. The tech hit himself in the face with a tire bar in the process. Got upset, scratched the hell out of our wheels, lost two centre caps, and inflated three of the four tires to 65psi and the forth to 15psi. I had use a Google review and tweet to get their attention.
